“No shoes or shirt, but we’re still gonna serve ya!” Is a reference to a SpongeBob episode (“the algae isnt greener on the other side.”) where they try to get an Alternative Reality Mr Krabs to put a shirt and shoes on while saying “no shoes, no shirt, no service.” It is also a reference to an erb rap battle, ‘Martin Luther King vs Gandhi’ Where MLK says, “no shoes or shirt but im still gonna serve ya.” While also making sense due to the fact captain doesnt have a shirt or shoes and also rhymes too Making this line more in depth than the og line.

Your ability to make references to the media while not relying on them for disses or lines is so impressive, and I love the little nods to ERB you have being perfectly intermixed in the bars. Your humor is great, your pacing is great, the animators are of course great, and I love what this channel does so much.

Well he did literally copy and paste a bar from the rap battle at the end of Sponge Out of Water: "You're an inferior species, what could you know about taste? You get excited by a pile of trash on a plate". It doesn't even make much sense in this battle considering Spongebob is very much a quality over quantity kind of cook so I don't know why he would be excited by trash.

I love how SpongeBob is animated like his show while underpants has a more messy look because he was drawn by George and Harold, absolutely beautiful. Edit: Just to be clear, I don’t think the animation was lazy, I think it was anything but. I strongly believe it was intentionally given a more hand draw look because canonically Harold draws captain underpants. Edit 2: I don’t think that some of the people in the comments actually understand how hard it would be to do the frame by frame animation for underpants, like each and every frame had to be drawn, then check to make sure it flowed, and honestly might have taken more time considering how much he moves around. The animation is quite impressive, and was stylized extremely well. Big props to the animator(s) they did an excellent job!

Wanna know something cool about the "under the sea" line? They actually had a joke similar to that in book six of captain underpants. The narrater was saying how "George and Harold's grades were much like whales in the ocean. They rarely rose above "C" level" Idk if that was the reference they were making, they probably weren't. But that line was still really good. This entire thing is really good

The pure quality and attention to detail thats always apparent in these battles never fails to FLOOR me. The lyrics, beat, delivery, animation, the portrayal of every character is so true to the source material its crazy. I understand the demographic is niche but this is hands down the most underrated channel on the platform

Something I noticed is that the background music is softer for SpongeBob's bars and louder for Captain Underpants', and that makes sense because, as a superhero franchise, Captain Underpants' franchise is overall more action packed than SpongeBob's, and I really like that detail!

Freshy Kanal and Eddiefrb are better than ERB imo. Also Dilly’s last 2 battles were good ERB barely posts, there is no flow and lines are easy to understand (when you try to understand lines it hits harder) I dont understand why ERB is the best in everyones eyes. Two battles I liked were TMNT vs Artists and Alexander the Great vs someone i dont remember I didnt watch all their videos but from what I’ve seen i liked those most

Can we all agree that if Spongebob and Underpants were to actually meet, they would be friends? Edit: I love that most of the comments are either "Yeah, they would" or "but how would they meet each other?" In regard to the latter, the simplest solution is that either Spongebob could wear his fishbowl helmet and visit C. Underpants or Captain Underpants could wear a divingsuit and visit Spongebob. George and Harold would definitely plan ahead to avoid Krupp. It's cool tho, most of you probably forgot about the fishbowl helmet. Also, yada yada thank you for the likes yada yada look at me go mom yada yada.

It took me a while to fully grasp it, but I love how the letter switching gag was incorporated in the background of Captain Underpants' verses, where it starts with Animation vs Anything and of course George and Harold vandalizing it into Nasty Man Thing. Also congrats on overriding the "Made For Kids" fiasco!

I sincerely wish to commend you, Not only for managing to capture the entire essence of such a larger-than-life character as SpongeBob in such a short amount of time, But also for making the most faithful portrayal of Hillenburg's character in almost 20 years. You somehow did justice to the entire legacy of the show and character and its creator in the span of a rap battle. Really, really impressive work.

I worked really really hard on the research and worked heavily with people who loved SpongeBob dearly. It makes me so happy to hear that I was able to do him justice
