I'm a Black American who lives in Paterson NJ. I love Palestinians. Can't get enough. Yeah, there are some bumps surrounding race, especially with the Uncles, but they don't mean any harm. I have received quality brotherhood from them. May Allah continue to bless them and may we see those lands overseas under the banner of Islam.

May Allah bless and uplift my brother Adeyinka Mendes. I came here to hear what my classmate has to say about his book, but I am enjoying my introduction to Ustad Morad Awad. May Allah give him success in His deen.

Why is epic Masjid in Texas? And so far from the city life of black people ?

I have a question, at the beginning of the lecture the imams said Salamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh instead of Assalam Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh? Lots of people even Shaykh say Salamu instead of assalamu. Is this permissible and does the meaning change?

We also can say salamun alaikum in place of Assalamu alaikum. If u know the role of Al in arabic easy to understand.

@@sakhan4347 The reason why I have ask, I heard a shaykh saying that it’s okay to say Salam but the proper way is to say Assalamu.

As Salaam Alaikum. You don't hear this information, or teaching in Masjid, you would think Blackpeople, had anything to do with the speard of Islam.

As a black man, I hate the idea of an entire race of people being reduced to simply "black people"... as if we are a country or a tiny tribe. There are different groups of blacks, just as there are different groups of people in every racial group. And we don't all need to be "celebrated" for doing the most normal things like producing scholars and intellectuals. We're not validation starved children.

In Islam, you are a Muslim first. Allah makes no distinction between any people. They are all part of His great creation. Allah loves everybody.

@@abdulkkhan5095 Then why are you talking about my group like we have to be celebrated like children when we do the most normal things? Seems like subtle condescension to me.

Thank you. For the first time I heard a black person saying what all humans should say and do. No need to seperate what black or white or brown did... Allah didn't mention in Holy Quran what ppl of race did and nither did Rasulullah. In islam there is only one race n its called the MUSLIM...

Let’s not make Islam about race , excellence of Muslim would have been better title …. There is no difference in black , white or brown in Islam

That would be nice, but you would have to be a Muslim from black/african descent to understand. It’s very painful to not be accepted in your profession, masjid, stores etc… all because of the color our skin. We have to fight everyday 10x harder to prove we to are human.
