Epidural Stimulation After Spinal Cord Injury: Restoration of Motor and Autonomic Function

Epidural stimulation involves electrical stimulation directly to the epidural region of the spine. In someone with a spinal cord injury (SCI), this still experimental procedure offers the possibility of restoring some motor and autonomic function. The procedure has been done in a small number of people with SCI, but some who have had the surgery have experienced movement in areas where they previously had no movement, and improvements in other areas such as bowel, bladder, sexual, and blood pressure function.

Thank u for this vid! My husband was involved in an accident last August and is paralyzed from his chest down due to spinal cord injury. We are still in the hospital trying to get a host of other items fixed before we go to rehab, perhaps at either Kessler or Shepherd. We are hopeful one day this wonderful man will be able to walk again. He is loved and known by hundreds due to his kindness, which is why we believe God kept him. This video will give him hope. Its a very long time wait for us. Hope it comes to reality soon. Many a times i dream that i have Started walking and then suddenly dream beaks off and day beings with same old story(for past 17 yrs)

Go to IBS hospital new delhi, this tech is used there for SCI patients. Complete incomplete both
