Thanks for the video; it helped me when I was doing my Application lesson plan :) Your designy/arty resources look awesome - did you ever share them on Waygook or anywhere? :) Any new teachers, make sure you check out the textbook CDs (using a translator like Papago if you don't speak Korean) and explore all the folders - you'll find curriculum information and lesson plans containing all the objectives like the ones in the physical Teachers' Guide...but in English!!! I could've saved a week of sifting through the textbooks and Teachers' Guides and translating if I'd found them earlier! :D

Hello! I think I vowed to upload some of my materials on Waygook but got distracted by job hunting once I returned to the US. I definitely posted my camp materials on Waygook (you can find it if you search my username: Renaore) I am very happy this video was helpful to you! That is my goal with most of my videos :) Thank you for also leaving helpful hints for other future teachers as well, I will be pinning this comment

I've been doing lesson plans for the past 3 years of my studies (4 year degree in Education) for every grade from forth grade till sixth grade and, for every subject from English to science and maths. My lesson plans are so in depth and usually about 7 to 10 pages long.

Oooh what! Even though I no longer teach, I'm curious how others prepare. It also does vary based on your co-teacher, school expectations, and your relationship with your co-teachers, etc.

Still wishing I could do this in the future but Malaysia doesn't count as an English speaking country so I'm not eligible :( I hope there would be another way other than EPIK for me to have this opportunity too. Japan doesn't have this rule, so I might go there instead. But thanks for the tips and tricks! I'll definitely make use of the things you've said in the future :)

Hey there! I'm glad you found this video useful :) thats my goal with most of my videos. Even if you can't teach in EPIK you could look into different hagwans (private after-school) for teaching English. IF you do that, please do your research on that hagwan to check to see if they are good or not. But I recommend you visit both Japan and Korea and see which country you like more. Looking back, Korea was a great experience but overall quality of life is better in Japan in my opinion. Good luck!!

Hi! I uploaded a bunch to Waygook.org but its been several years since I posted BUT the textbooks I used might have changed. I would recommend you swing by the website and see what they have to offer.

Hey there! YES. I will. I haven't been giving my time to this channel or uploading to waygook as much because of moving around the USA and job hunting. Is there anything in particular you'd like from this video? Let me know and I can upload to waygook (dot) org :) Also, I am not a graphic designer... I just like art stuffs. Hilariously enough, 100% of my materials were put together using Microsoft Powerpoint and Word.

I love that board game you put together and even that ice cream sheet! I won't be coming to Korea until February any ways so take your time uploading it. I'm a graphic designer and got sucked deep into making a super pretty PPT for my application. I put like 5 hours into it 😂 . Just checked out your Powerpoint presentation and it looks amazing!!! Lots of pictures are the key to having a great presentation that will keep kids interested. :) You will be able to use your graphic design skills well as a teacher in S. Korea! I will start posting my materials on waygook tonight and I will probably make a separate video about that so people who subscribed to me can go and find my materials easily. :) If you have any questions about Daejeon, let me know! I was there for two years and I liked it a lot! It was really easy to go anywhere in S. Korea from that city because its a major transport hub :). Good luck and keep me updated ;D

Loved the video! I was wondering, lets say I'm accepted to EPIK and I work there. What's next? What if I want to stop teaching after a few years. Is there a way to get a green card (or whatever equivalent) and stay there without working for EPIK?

Hi there, sorry I just saw your comment now. I'm not too sure what options are available if you want to stay long term in Korea. I know another youtuber Megan Bowen has a video on this and you can go check it out. :)

Hey, you might have found the answer now but if you live in Korea for 5 consecutive years and achieve a reasonable level of Korean then you can apply for naturalisation and become a citizen.
