In this video, we begin a multi part series looking at the cool features within the main display on a late model Epiroc T45-11 SmartROC.
So, what makes it smart?
Full electric over hydraulic controls and a trick display that lets you monitor and adjust the majority of parameters, all from the comfort of a heated seat in the well insulated cab. That plus the ability to have full control over the flushing air pressure, the water injection flow, and the dust collector suction, means that these rigs can run at much lower rpm and make legitimate fuel savings. In my experience, under ideal conditions, the rig can run at full productivity for around 30 hours before needing to be refueled. Where as previous models of similar size and capacity, and in the same rock conditions, can be run to empty in a single 13 hour shift.
All footage is shot raw whilst drilling. No fancy editing cuts or lame background music.
Happy Drilling :)

always good to find information about blast rigs being diamond drilling for a few years is certainly bit different than blast hole but hav much same principles whilst one drilling with muds other with just air and water will continue to follow videos so keep up the good work guys.

Not too many people take the time and effort to put out such useful content that's focused on such a niche viewing audience. Thank you so much mate. Can I have your e-mail add to clarify a couple of questions? P.S. Thanks for no lame background music.
