Designers can't legally demand that people not sell garments made from their designs. They can copyright the pattern, but they have no right whatsoever to what happens to garments made from them. That striped sweater though!!! it's so pretty! I've had to add it to my queue. Welcome to the insanity!
@therapybycraft
@therapybycraft Жыл бұрын
Ooh I didn't know that. I always did wonder how one would enforce that rule... but in any case, I really respected my friend's decision to honor the designer's request either way. Lol and thank you for the warm welcome! xD Insanity is right!

Always in need of another podcast! And thanks for sharing items you made for your daughter. My niece is almost 2 and I want to knit things for her. It’s great to hear about things she might like. There’s also other children in my life I may knit for too who are various ages! FYI about your mohair: I have the Diablo in multiple colors from hobbi but I have used filcolana tilia mohair and I really don’t like the hobbi Diablo. I want to destash my hobbi Diablo. I think it’s the acrylic I don’t care for after using mohair from filcolana. I also want to try along avec Anna mohair and also knitting for olive mohair.
@therapybycraft
@therapybycraft Жыл бұрын
Yay thank you so much for your feedback. I always wonder if people would want to know about the things I knit for my little one - your comment is very much appreciated! And yessss I keep hearing that about the Diablo!! You are def not the first person to mention that it's maybe not the best mohair out there... The climate I'm in may not be the most suitable for mohair anyway, but I'm interested to see what else is out there. Thank you for your suggestions!
@jana.archaeoknits
@jana.archaeoknits Жыл бұрын
@@therapybycraft I know there’s alternatives to mohair or a wool with slight mohair blend that gives you the halo and fuzziness. Maybe try Alpaca 1 and Alpaca 2 not sure who that’s by. If I remember I’ll reach out to you. Personally I like thinner weights of yarn but it’s all down to what the garment is. My favorite podcast to listen to while knitting is knitting traditions because she has a wide range of skill sets but is not afraid to modify things to her liking. Sure, she knits to trend sometimes (or probably the kind of person to start them) but to me she tries whatever she can get her hands on and I love that! I learn something new all the time listening to her podcasts. She drafts her own garments too and doesn’t write down a pattern or particularly sell patterns as of now I believe but she gives so much detail in her videos it’s amazing.

Hi Eunice: (Sorry if I spelled your name incorrectly.) Wowza! What a super awesome podcast! Your first podcast came up on my KZfaq feed! I love adding new podcasters to my list of favorite podcasts to watch whenever a new episode is uploaded. I love that there’s no ads on your podcast. There’s nothing more annoying than being interrupted every few minutes with ads! I love the content. You were a joy to knit with. I think you are an amazing knitter! I love all your finished objects. Your knitted items are beautiful and stunning. I love supporting Asian podcasters and designers because I am Asian as well. I am beginning to see more and more Asian knitting podcasters and designers join the knitting community which makes me happy. Tori Yu’s designs are becoming very popular. I can’t wait until the pattern is released to knit the hoodie that Amanda of Birch & Lily test knitted and raved about on her podcast. You did not talk about your knitting background. I would like to know how you became such an amazing knitter. You were not nervous, you were upbeat, and kept the podcast at a good time span. Viewers can watch the whole podcast without having to view the entirety in several sessions! I hope you will continue to podcast more episodes! What a treat it is to see what projects you are knitting, finished, and plan to knit! Your daughter is so lucky to have such a wonderful mom that knit all these lovely knitted items for her! Thank you for sharing! Looking forward to your next upload whenever you have time to do so! Happy knitting! ❤❤

Thank you so much May Joe - both for being here, as well as for your feedback! My channel is so small that I'm sure it'll be a while before KZfaq is interested in adding ads to my videos. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the ad-free content. xD I, too, an super excited about POC makers/designers/podcasters joining the table around this wonderful craft. I hope you will continue to find this channel life-giving and an enjoyable space in which to knit along. I love the idea of talking about my knitting background as a video sometime. Still trying to see what the best way would be for viewers to get to know me... I'll def keep your suggestion in mind!
