Episode .10 - Pier Foundation. Mixing Cement with the Mud Mixer!!

We build our pier foundation by mixing cement using the Mud Mixer. The Mud Mixer made mixing so much easier. The only thing the Mud Mixer is missing is the ability to pick up the 80 lbs bags :)

In your video, you screwed your 2 x 4's" into the tubes and then poured concrete. My question is at what point did you take them out, and was it a struggle to get all those screws you used liberally throughout all the forming tubes free? I might suggest next time that you screw from the inside out (a little more difficult I acknowledge) however, making the take-down much easier, and not leaving screw holes in your cement columns . . . 😎

I waited until the concrete was dried. 1-2 days. Removing the screws was super easy and the screws leave a pin size hole that you can't notice. Concrete will have some bubble holes anyway, even after vibrating. I wouldn't worry about the holes at all.

i term used. undisturbed ground, meaning they may not heave, but they will for sure tilt side to side in the years to come. just saying, timber!!!!!!
