The pain pump saved my life! Oral medication never actually worked but I consumed out of desperation during my disease attacks (FMF). Now I live pain free, and I don’t feel like I’m on any medication anymore. It works in the background and before I knew it after a few weeks after my implant I realized I had my quality of life back. I thank GOD for this technology. I’m a happy person with a lovely family but I was so desperate for relief, I used to get “the crazy thoughts of ending everything” just because of the torture of the . My pump releases Dilaudid throughout the day every day and I have 180 extra doses for flare ups which I rarely use. The natural drip release works for me. I highly recommend this delivery and would beg anyone who suffers from pain to at least consider it

@@moonshadow1250 the pump is installed in my lower back. I have a Samsung phone just for the pump. It has all the info and all the good stuff. Then I have another device that’s a blue tooth device that I put against the area where my pump is and I can give myself extra pain medicine (Dilaudid) when I have flare ups. This saves me from having to go to the hospital. I’ll make a short vid so you can see what I’m talking about. Don’t hesitate to ask me any questions. This has saved my life. There’s no cure for my disease. It’s only maintenance

I had the pain stimulator since 2/13/24 and so far my results have been minimal. In 3/6 I had a post-OP appt and the Dr. increased the dosage from 3.0 to 3.25mg and added a oral med Baclofen and it hasn't reduced my back discomfort. After I finish the 15 day oral med I will contact my Dr. to see what happens next.

I have a great pain doctor and a pain pump that saved my life. I have MS & I have tried nerve pain medication for yrs. 4yrs ago, a pain doctor listened to me & took me on. Had been on pain pills for yrs and was about tapped out on usage on them. I obviously still have multiple sclerosis, but I can tell you I live a much better life with my pain pump. Walking better, enjoying life. Raising kids. I was at the end of my rope 4yrs ago, and now I am healthy, happy thriving. And it's controlled. I love that part. I still struggle with MS, but pain is something I can get relief from.

Have you successfully treated patients with atypical trigeminal neuralgia? How about anesthesia dolorosa caused by a failed trigeminal nerve cistern glycerol rhizotomy? Thanks!

I have pudental nerve damage from having proctectomy surgery in January 2023 due to sepsis . I’ve been on the fentanyl patch and oxycodone since then. The adhesions have grown over time and the pain has become worse. My pain management dr doesn’t prescribe meds higher and I really don’t want more opioids orally. I’ve been bedridden from the pain and my quality of life is nil. I think targeted pain medication is my hope to regain my life and relief from pain .. I just want to be able to function.

What I'm curious about I have CRPS almost 20 years now. I read the pump needs to be replaced every 7 years. Does it need to change locations after 7 years. Meaning does the abdominal wall get weak and needs to be changed to the other side after 7 years? So my question is about getting it replaced and how the abdominal wall holds up. Thank you. Namaste'

So glad I found you!! You really educated me on this subject, Thank you. I have had 13 surgeries on my back and I still suffer from chronic pain. I was told next step would be a pain pump. I'm taking Percocets a day!! On top of muscle relaxers and Lyrica a day. I'm getting concerned about my liver. I just want to be able to live somewhat of a normal life!! What medications is widely used in a Pain Pump?? Thank You!!

Hubby has severe pain from cervical fusion because of a disk that collapsed. Unfortunately, he has cirrhosis and HE. Wondering if he would be a candidate for a pain pump?

You mentioned placements above the target and allowing med to drip down. It sounds like it can treat a larger area that way. Is that a correct eval? I hv ten spacer/screws from L1,L2 up causing pain. Will the cath placements treat the entire area.? Signed, Hopeful

I hear of occasional pain pump failures and how devastating they can be. This makes me want to wait for improvements to the delivery system. Do you have any comments about this?
