Percy is absolutely correct; our ancestors (West African) had a 13month year based on the actual moon cycles of 28 days. Moon is the root word of month. And the Gregorian Calender is that of the coloniser. The new year is indeed April 1 - the joke is on the world and you are a fool to believe that the colonisers understand nature, astrology, numerology and spirituality better than we melanated peoples. Percy could teach you both a thing or two (assuming he has energy after his marathon sessions 😂).

Yeah your totally correct BUT to celebrate new years on April 1 would not make sense due to the current 12 month calendar we have adopted meaning next year you would have to call May 1 as new year and then June 1, July 1 etc

@@mc5589 Correct... it's not an exact science as a 'year' is actually 364 days (13 x 28); however, we (within the Spiritual community) use April 1 as this is the date that the elites use to mock us - also, surely it makes more sense for the beginning of the year to be aligned with the start of Spring (which is around the beginning of April). There's a brilliant KZfaqr called Dr Mumbi who has loads of videos on this, filmed live and direct from the foot of Mount Zion in Kenya (#IYKYK). Definitely worth a follow 💚

I never believed new year was January. I've always been in the mind that new year was spring. Nothing new happens in January anywhere. We don't need to celebrate new year either, what is that about? Just give thanks you lived to see it and move on. The foolishness over fakemass and new years is just childish and irks my whole nerves when I see black ppl jumping up. Pure and utter foolishness

Percy is absolutely right. I celebrate the new year round about April. Typically, it's between mid March to early April. It's all based on the moon, and when the new moon is. He's exactly right, it's the renewing of the cycle of the year, which begins when all things come back to life again; the animals come out from hiding; vegetation begins to grow and etc. Not in the dead of winter. I even heard, a couple weeks back, that April fools is on the 1st of April, because after it was changed, if you kept celebrating the new year in April, they would call you an April fool.
