Looking forward to this one, one of my favourite Maiden albums, so unique and we will not see the like of it from them again, such great guitar parts, wish they were a bit louder as they seem very quiet on the album, easily their best 90s album and a shame a lot of fans dont give it a chance because its not Bruce.

Great points, it stands the test of time as so much of it is still covered by both Blaze and Maiden live. Agree totally on the guitar sound. Imagine if Adrian was still in the group...

The cover reminds me of Megadeths , countdown to extinction. Perhaps a case of the influencer being influenced? . As far as your alternative version goes , it’s nearly 20 minutes shorter and feels far better paced ! I’d also throw look for the truth in there . Overall it sounds less dour than the actual record does , what a difference a word in Steve’s ear might have made .
