The new generation of the legend! This time, the headliner of Combat Approved is the most awaited rifle in the world - the AK-12. It has become more precise and handier, but most importantly, it’s remaining just as reliable. The Kalashnikov became so famous exactly because of its simple construction and reliability.
The feature of all the previous generations of this weapon was the ability to shoot after being dipped in water, dug into mud, and also the invincibility to hardest strikes. Combat Approved will set up one of the most extreme crash tests for Kalashnikov on TV. The rifle will undergo the trial of fire, earth, and mud mixed with lubricants. In other words, we’ll do everything to prevent it from firing. But more importantly, our film crew will visit the production site of the AK-12. For the first time, you’ll see where and how the new Russian Armed Forces’ rifle is assembled.

I got my first modern AR because the community organizer that we had as "president" a few years ago threatened to do away with them. So I got it reluctantly. But when I shot my friends AK~74, I was very impressed. I liked the way the AK~74 felt in my hands better than the AR. Now I've got a Yugo M70 underfolder that was built, and a new Zastava ZPAP. But my favorite rifle is my VEPR FM~74~11. It feels perfect in my hands.

The only videos that do this are fake documentaries directed at pimply teens or adverts for stupid phone games (incidentally directed at the same audience).

You don't need an AK for home defense, and even if you own one, it would be probably semi-auto, if you acquired it legally, that is. Well, maybe in Chicago you need one, or in Detroit. Something smaller like a Glock or a shotgun would be better, you don't want to destroy your own house with a rifle.

I love the innovative new features ! The hammerforged barrel ,the interference fit and pinned barrel ( H&K) G3 etc , the collapsing butt stock ( Colt XM , CAR15) the pathetic .22 calibre round that has no range and proven to be a problem in recent conflicts and of course the change in the safety , pure genius and of course the Pikatinikosh rail developed in Russia , and the see through mags ( Glock , Magpul etc ) ! But they are popular and cheap , even the 22 Rimfire version and sporters are made at Ishmash and of course the ,5.56 NATO version . No contractor or cloning factory for the M16 platform has ever produced a 5.45x39 as it is not exactly popular . The Glock 17 passed the 15000 round test of dust , ice ,rain back in the early 80s which is why I bought one when as soon as they were made available to civilians . Its easy to build in excess tolerance that makes a rifle reliable , which is why they use a 100 M test range . Try repeat the tests with a bolt lock back a condition in which rifles are often found and all rifles will fire . The hot barrel test I've done myself by firing an FN FAL on surplus ammo until the barrel glowed and then seized and through the parts that survived away in order to comply with the UK 88 Firearms Act as deactivated by other means .

And don't forget that other nations have top coders in e.g. python and others in for example c++ - generalization that Russian/Polish/Japanese coder are the best coders is just silly :) Once again - Russians are truly among the top coders.

It won’t my friend. Obama put a ban on Russian import rifles in 09. Previously Kalashnikov imported AK rifles into the us under the “Saiga” name. Your next best bet is an Arsenal Bulgarian AK or a Polish Radom 7.62 x 39 Beryl. I have a Romanian Cugir AK and a Bulgarian Arsenal one. Those are available in the states. You can purchase a Vepr Molot AK (Russian) or a Saiga but you pay a pretty penny for them. Very expensive. And you have to live in a state that allows you to purchase those Russian makes.

@@matthewgosz8900 if you get a good combloc make...they’re just as good as Kalashnikov ones. Like the zastava zpap (Yugo) AK, the Radom Beryl 7.62 x 39...they’re just as good my man. You’re not missing out by getting one of them. These are all factories the Soviets setup in these nations and they make very good AK’s. The zpap from Serbia, the polish Radom beryl or the polish wbp fox...you’ll get amazing AK from them.

The version in this video is the older revision. The new revision has a different grip and butt stock. All existing AK-12 rifles will be upgraded to the new spec.

Breathtaking! What a master piece of military engineering. Has the performance of the AK-47 or I guess a little bit better, but surely that black and manufacturing material look more elegant than its predecesor, a new tool for brake door car glasses, few seconds to reload, sight and fire it, resistance even against engine oil and many more. Some russians are bad people, however many of them like scientists, medics and militar things inventors have an incredible ability to make great creations and leave in high the name of their country.

The Serbian M21 has a similar design. Note the key word I used, 'similar'. Serbian and Russian AKs have always had strong similarities, but each have their own unique features.
