Great video. For those wondering what the missile in question is: It’s the LMUR, or izdeliye 305 missile. Lyogkaya Mnogotselevaya Upravlayemaya Raketa, or light multipurpose guided missile (LMUR). Not too much is known about this missile here in the West, but we do know it’s man-in-the-loop capable, mounted on the tandem APU-L rail, likely has a 9-10 mile range. The behavior observed in the Havoc’s that fire these suggests they’re used in their inertial guidance/datalink mode most often, allowing the pilots to guide and change targets while in flight. It’s warhead is a bit of a mystery. Not sure if it’s a tandem or augmented charge or if it has any kind of fragmentation sleeve or variants. It’s pretty interesting. I would think this missile is designed as an option for both the Mi-28NM and Ka-52M. Personally, I wish they’d bring back and update the Ka-50!

😂 😂 😂 I saw this episode on RT's Combat Approved! And he got a little bit air sick 🤢 "ojojojoj ojojojoj stop stop stop" 😂 😂 😂. Or in this episode, but it was funny 😁 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ZpmXpst0qN6XpYE.html But OK, who knows how we would react when a fighter pilot would take us for a ride, maybe the same 😁! The interesting thing is that the big Airbags, security suspension and now a redone and added safety system increases the possibility to survive if they can't get out because of the height, or if they have to down the helicopter! Not bad at all! I found the reaction of the pilot interesting when he explained the armor of the helicopter (and that the most other are quote "carton boxes" 😂). The chopper is armored and in top of that the inner side is coated with Kevlar, incl the seats! This one on the episode is the old version! In a different episode they show the whole Team in Syria (not all personal, but oyu can see them around) and from all Companies who are stationed there so that the consultation with the pilot's, soldiers etc can be immediately be solved or the results sent to the company so that the upgrade can be made soon! This is telling a lot about the efforts, Incl the tests! The Ka-52 is also a very interesting chopper!

Not possible. The forward tip speed can't break the speed of sound and be expected to survive. the rotors have to remain under 331 m/s at sea level while traveling forward, (including apparent ground speed of the airframe) while still keeping enough rotor speed on the rear arc to remain flying. a 600kph true airspeed would mean the rotors were traveling a negative 9kph at the hub. ya, that isn't possible. Stop believing the russian BS. If their garbage worked half as good as they say they wouldn't be getting spanked by Ukrainian volunteers.

But since the 90's and then 2000's, the lighter not armored helicopters became obsolete in the Military area, they are easy pray for hidden machine Gunners, bigger calibers, or handheld systems! But in the Germany and the Alps. The helicopter was a decade long name! Today Eurocopters took over, and also as Police or Military (aside the Tiger), but the BO is a Legend and not a lot of the younger pilot's can fly them 😂😂😂, it's a great and agile helicopter, but you have to fly them, it's like an older car, no fancy electric and steering support! It is a variant of Kh-29 missile, similar by their combat tasks to the US AGM-65 'Maverick' missile. The 'Hermes' missile was placed on the Russian helicopters not so long time ago. The 'Hermes-A' variant of the missile was used on the attack aircrafts before. The missile was tested on the Ka-52 helicopter in 2003 year. It is installed on the Mi-24, Mi-35, Mi-17 and Ka-52 helicopters now... The Russian version of the documentary was filmed one year ago. It is little bit outdated already...

If you use the LMUR as an anti-tank missile based on the principle of fire-and-forget, then yes - the first Russian analogue of the AGM-114L. But it is too early to consider other characteristics and compare them with analogues, they have not yet been disclosed (they only talk about a range of 25 km and a dive angle of 60-70 degrees). I wonder how long it will take the United States to adopt analogues Kh-47M2 "Dagger", 3M22 (SS-N-33) "Zircon", Kh-101, Pilatus PC-24, etc. I do not know if NATO even has at least banal supersonic long-range anti-ship missiles, at least like the old Soviet SS-N-26 Strobile?

@@sgt_loeram1933 Mi-28 was derived from Mi-24 which, in turn, was derived from Mi-8: the latter predating the entire modern concept of an "attack" helicopter. While on the national "whose is bigger" contest, you might want to consider that one of the greatest American helicopter pioneers, Sikorsky, was actually a Russian who fled to America during the Russian revolution. He is credited with creating the "first viable 'American' helicopter."

Liked more about CA when it didn't have a english commentator as that is the real propaganda and not the show itself as much. The commentator makes lots of unnecessary comparisons and stressed analogies. well, all countries with choppers and jets that have a high angle of attack can fly em together. And: "the nighthawk is the only heli in the world capable of doing a lop with standard equipment". Well..... no. We see a clip of a nighthawk with only the gun, doing a loop, while youtube shows clips of the apache doing loop with rockets and missiles attached. The two are close to equal in flight performance with 0.31 kW/kg and 0.30 kW/kg. The mi28 is faster, and the Apache can fly farther. They are both old from the early 80s, they both get upgraded with the latest tech theire countries can provide. I wouldnt stand on either side claiming mine was the best.

That's right. Only if it wasn't for one caveat. The MI-28 is a fire support helicopter. The main attack helicopter of Russia is the KA-52, so you should compare Apache with it. But here the comparison is not at all in favor of Apache.
