He's not important at All I can give you every reason regarding to what he criticizes he only speak about the duration he has spent in the industry & local achievements. Until one of his acts that he has managed reach Nasty C's status regarding the global market & audience, he remains irrelevant & just like most people who have minor achievements compares to him. The only way he remains relevant is when he speaks about the local level, internationally he must shut his mouth he remains like the rest, assumptions only. Nasty C doesn't need an advice from Someone who hasn't achieved his level but only reach with perspectives.

@@nkhesanilebelo7308 when we talk about global markets it's about movement of the Artistry not just collab coz anyone with a bag can secure a feature especially the one's Kwesta did. Cass has also done international collabs but to tell it's only Nasty C who has had more success on those such as Particular, They don't & on the Continental he got more amazing collabs which 2 of them have more than 16M. But regardless of that I speak in a sense of being signed to Def Jam, appearing on Late Night Show with seth Myers, Touring internationally & being invited & mentioned on the same platform as Justin Bieber,Shawn Mendes & Lionel Richie also making moves in Japan with Netflix & Music. Clearly no one has achieved that level.
@asandasolwandle1601
@asandasolwandle1601 3 жыл бұрын
@@umarley1452 you must remember that Nasty C is signed by a corporation Def Jam that has billions in their pocket so whatever Nasty wants they'll buy it for him. Kwesta was an independent artist and for Nota to do the things he did for Kwesta with absolutely no big company with a large budget says a lot about his work etiquette and knowledge. I don't understand why people are so pressed about this Nasty situation because Kwesta own his Masters whereas Nasty doesn't. All this fame he has is owned by Def Jam.
@umarley1452
@umarley1452 3 жыл бұрын
@@asandasolwandle1601 naah you don't get it Kwesta is also signed in partnership with Sony Music. And Nasty C has been making moves from the day he landed on the game, you people act like Def Jam has been there for years on Nasty C while it's been only 6 months. Most of the stuff he did way before Def Jam came. These things speaks to excellence it's only Nasty C who has managed to have the most successful international Collabs that speaks to the credibility of abilities coz the label can offer resources but cannot do music which in this Case make Nasty C stands out. Kwesta & Cass had international collabs but Cass didn't move a thing with them while on Kwesta it's only Spirit that met the expectations the others didn't. Stop trying to discredit talent & work ethic Nasty C does coz all his music is produced under his Authority sometimes himself he manages everything on the music side only the label to promote it but also a label cannot buy you a fanbase that is accomplished by your music.

He manages artist but none of the artist under his wing has amounted or achieved the same level as Nasty C therefore he's not eligible to give advice about something he has failed to achieved or he has never faced. All he states is perspectives & assumptions so he's like anyone unless he speak on the Local level but even with good observations & analyzing the history it doesn't give you credit to be critique & give advice on something you've constantly failed to achieve. He should keep his mouth shut about international moves coz the kid has done better than him in 5 years while he's been failing to achieve that in 12 years. Nota knows a lot of stuff but he got a bad analytical ability in which comes with strong assumptions without interacting & admitting the Facts. The stuff he said especially regarding our legends sales & moves it's the information you can access as long as you have passion for music & industry as a whole, there's nothing special about that unless somebody comes with a proper idea on how we can take our industry to the greater heights & shoot for the globe to see, the only movement taking place in SA Music is individuality movement not the industry as a whole but it's beneficial because if one of artist is recognized overseas it'll all set the spotlight to our industry & as far as I'm concerned my guy has no solutions regarding on how our artist can break to the globe markets but he's being critical to the Kid who is shooting for the moon & doing something that hasn't been done by any Hip-Hop Local Artist. Bts story you've got it twisted, the reason why Bts blew Global, they started the trend of doing something different from South Korean Music Culture which is starting writing music for themselves & touching on unspoken subjects on social issues that people are interacting but find it Hard to speak about. Even thou the label was there from the start providing them with everything but the main reason their music blew is them figuring out what will make them stand out from the rest. And BTS situation is the reason I believe Nasty C will help our industry & artist's to get attention because one of the reasons K- pop is popular today is BTS setting the spotlight on them even thou PSY Gangnam Style went viral before BTS but it did not help the K-pop until BTS came & the rest benefited from that & the thing K-pop created a fanbase of which SA doesn't have & the only way that will help to create a proper fanbase in the world is not in Africa because we'll always come 2nd to Naija if we target African Market so from observations it can be seen that Internationally our sound can be hyped thus Ndlovu Youth Choir & "Jerusalema & Nasty C is loved people overseas those who've come across his music & probably he's backed by most Africans. So crucify me I truly believe Nasty C is our industry & Africa changing factor if he blows up it'll be a totally different story on how Africans are interpreted globally.

In fact the point you're making is what he is against, which is the International Market looking to Africa for the what they can get back home...and using African cultures to promote the music that does not sound like Africa.
