has anyone tried to set up a usb microphone with rhasspy? and if so could you drop your profile.json settings for it?

Can you make a tutorial on how to install and use with a pi running android? I want MV to be used as a microphone. However I cannot find any easy way to get this done. A downloadable image that works out the box would be ideal. I am one of original crowdfunding supports and have had this device for over 2 years. 2 plus years and I have literally never used it because this us not user friendly for people who do not code. (When I initially backed this product I was unaware how complicated it could be) If I could get a simply tutorial on how to get this offline assistant to use on Pi running Android... I would be soooooooo happy.

Can you do a tut for a beginner, how to set up matrix voice esp32 to use python speech recognition module to recognize speech. I bought one recently but can't get it to work. I'm confused with the different levels you have with Hal etc. Thanks

Hello! The different layers are helpful when programming the RPi to access MATRIX capabilities. MATRIX HAL is the lowest layer (C++) that speaks with the hardware components directly. MATRIX Lite wraps around HAL in python, JS, and Go with easy to use libraries. This is the layer we recommend. If you want to program your MATRIX Voice ESP32 to run without the Pi, we have a beginner tutorial on how to get started with some basic Arduino/C++ examples on the ESP32 here: matrix-io.github.io/matrix-documentation/matrix-voice/esp32/ If the python speech reg module you want to try is open, feel free to send us a link and we will try our best to help. You can post any questions on our community ( community.matrix.one ) and we will help you more there! If you want to use Rhasspy with Python for catching intents, you should check out the second part of our guide here: www.hackster.io/matrix-labs/adding-intents-for-rhasspy-offline-voice-assistant-faa221 You can use the python example from the repo instead of JS as shown in the guide: github.com/matrix-io/rhasspy-examples/tree/master/websocket/matrix_example/python

Why do you need to connect somewhere every 30 days to keep your wakeword working? I thought an advantage of Rhasspy was that it could work offline :-/

@@gregorypeterschmidt620 afaik this is only the case if you want a personalized wakeword.
