Beautiful projects Sherrie. Love the crochet scarf so pretty! I’ve yet to complete an advent project but that one does look achievable!! I haven’t read Black Beauty since I was a child I will have to see if I can find a copy amongst the children’s bookshelves and have a read - love re reading those childhood treasures! Have a lovely week, Em xx 💕

I think I need to make the Just Feel Festive wrap when I've finished a couple of languishing wips. I'm inspired by shawls and wraps at the minute and I love the mindless action of a granny stripe, so it will be perfect. It would also be great TV knitting which is a bonus. Moving on to the book talk, I love Black Beauty. I've not read it for years and my copy is rather tatty now, but I remember constantly carrying it around in my school bag so I could read it on my commute to and from school. My current and only read is the new fantasy release, A Day of Fallen Night by Samantha Shannon, which does intimidate me a little due to its size. However, I did manage to read and really enjoy the other book set in the same world (Priory of the Orange Tree) a few years ago so I want to carry on and see what this book has to offer as well. Hopefully I'll manage to finish it before the end of March!
@OllieandBella

Thank you for your lovely comment, Yes the granny stripe shawl is perfect for TV and it works up quick - unlike a knitted shawl 😆 That's great you're enjoying your book, big books intimidate me also but if it's a good book and you're enjoying it, it's worth it! 💕

So excited you will have holiday shop update in a few weeks!! I have tried to get one before Christmas and always missed! I live in the USA, so I need to figure out the time difference and be at my computer when the shop updates!! LOVE your Christmas bag and the sock yarn you are using!! As I live in the states, I am unfamiliar with the Allotment. I did a quick google search, but didn't find many details. Are these properties that are close to your home address or are these possibly areas that are open to the public and you are allowed a certain portion to plant for beautification? Life is SHORT.....use the special soap, you deserve it!!

Nice to see you 😊 I love buying soap and use it in my drawers but also under the bottom sheet on my bed, by my feet as it stops me getting cramp in my legs. I didn't believe it would work, but it does! I now live on the South Coast but lived in Somerset for 16 years and went to Tyntesfield when it first opened. Very little of the building was accessible then but I've watched it become alive with all the restoration work that has been done. I love how the National Trust now do this with their new acquisitions.

Wednesday has been renewed - happily. I enjoyed it, like a gothic Veronica Mars (which I loved too). Your blanket is beautiful - I’d take it without a border. It’s glorious, your knitting is so smooth. I remember you knitting it and being so inspired, it’s a firm plan for the future to make one of my own. Thank you for showing the gingerbread socks too - I just checked and found I can get some of the yarn here (other side of the world), and it’s nice to see what some yarns look like when knitted up. Fair enough about the magazine - that’s so expensive. Works out at $14 here. When I was a kid we’d get a magazine as part of our Christmas present - or a birthday present and I still remember that with joy. There’s so much more in your podcast, but this comment is long enough. Except for “long live Molly” - beautiful colours on that lovely girl.

Hi Jane, thanks for your lovely comment! Thanks for coming across from Gayna 💗 Oh wow that’s great you’re signed up to 3 different library systems. There’s another one over here which I can sign up to and I might, although I have quite a few audio books on hold with Libby at the moment 😄 You can make your mitred squares smaller, although that makes you’ll have to knit more in the long run. Maybe it could be a long term project and then as and when you have left over yarn you can add a square. I do fancy making a scrappy left over version. Just need to finish a few wips first 🤣 💕

That's great, do you use it for audio books or to read books? I was hoping you could get the Libby app on the Kindle so that you could download books and read them but I don't think you're able to? 💕

Thank you, well the yarn I used is very old and actually from Aldi 😆 when they first started stocking crafting items. Sadly the yarn that they have now is not the same quality as this yarn. It is 100% Acrylic but it was a good experiment to see how I got on knitting a garment. I think I will try Lettlopi on my next one 💕

Your Felix is lovely! I love the color you chose and it fits you so well. What yarn did you use for that? I want to be a copy cat 😻 The alpaca you picked up for the Ranunculus is beautiful! You mentioned you'll be finding a yarn to hold with it, but maybe you could use the alpaca alone. I've seen many made with mohair and I myself knit one using one strand of alpaca and absolutely love it. I used Cascade El Cielo, so it might be a heavier weight than the alpaca you have, but could be worth a try! 😊
