Not that you need a pep talk from me, Alain. Just letting you know I have appreciated the work you have done since your Dolphin Digest days. I remember having to pay extra for first class mail, so I would get it the Saturday before the game on Sunday. But it was well worth the extra price. Since then, I have enjoyed your work in SI. I know this podcast thing is new to you, and me, to be honest, but you are doing a fantastic job. Keep at it, your audience will continue to grow. Your frank and honest takes are refreshing. I say all this because you seemed a little down during Episode 289, due to the lack of attendees. Keep doing your thing, Alain. You are the best.

The Lions have a young qb in Hendon Hooker . Worst case scenario for them, they have a qb they took in the 2nd rd that had 1st rd talent that fell due to the Acl injury. I think the Lions are in a good spot either way, even if Goff gets injured or doesn't pan out in a few years they still have their qb of the future on the roster. They also have a lot of young players on manageable deals while they're paying Goff and St. Brown, and they've proven to be on the upswing. We don't have any of those things, we have an older roster with quite a few guys coming up for huge deals, if we pay Tua, we're going to lose talent and have to rebuild the oline, interior dline, secondary and at least another weapon if we move off Tyreek within the next 2 years. Our situation is much different than Detroit, I think they are in much better position to pay Goff without disaster striking if it doesn't work with him.

I agree with Alain on Tua the smart play for the team is 5th year because the 6th year they should know 💯 what Tua is long term and choose to pay him stupid money any way or look to draft or trade him.

Imo, Jared Goff is a top 10 QB stats-wise. Has won a lot of playoff games, made a SB, should have made the SB last year if Campbell didn't gamble so much. No way should we shade Lions for paying him what they're paying him.

Weather is a non factor the better team wins regardless of weather but the Dolphins like to blame the weather but they are just an above average team not beating too many good teams regardless of weather we let too many good player go and still need two starting caliber ogs a rg and lg to have a chance to be good.

NFL really doesn't like Miami. They took away the home field advantage early in the season and gave Miami a week 6 bye while everyone else in the divisions bye is after week 10. Also, they didn't reschedule the playoff game in KC, so if their excuse for screwing Miami out of home field early is player saftey I CALL BS

If I was Ross I would buy a car dealership and a fast food franchise and Higher Tua as my spokes person. NIL money baby.

Tua can get above two nfc championships and a Super Bowl appearance.

I think the real secret to our up coming season will be conditioning. We cant stay healthy we need the guys to ditch South Beach and train like they are living in Buffalo in December. Best Free Agent we could still sign would be that trainer that Mcholmes has, go watch that Netflix show QB and look at how that trainer thinks and designs his programs. We need to out train the rest of the NFL. Maybe we need to re implement the wall from Flo. Id make that dude the highest paid trainer in the NFL.

People who like to compare Tua to Marino don’t realize or don’t want to mention how Marino put up 30+ consistently in big losses while Tua gets consistently shut down by good teams. And in big moments. And in the cold. And on the road. And in December. And in prime time.

The only good teams Miami will win is against NYJ and Houston the rest of the good teams will beat us and we will blame it in the weather but that is a non factor they are just better teams.

We need to stop using the heat as an excuse , we need to start creating a more hostile environment , fans coming out more , getting loud etc, cant just be the damn sun , though dont forget our humidity at night is still brutal . I think you guys are over rating this team again. We needed wins against Tennessee 2 years in a row and lost. Jacksonvill broke there 22 game loosing streak against Miami and the Bills own us,Seattle has one of the best if not the best recieving core and playing at home. I think it's more likely a 2 and 3 or 1 and 4 start. Tua is not good.. The roster is great but it won't matter.

I like Dave H.'s point at the end about the schedule giving the team time to come together and get key pass rushers back from the IR/PUP🤔 I still think that we would have been better off having the Buffalo game at 1pm eastern. 🤷‍♂ Furthermore, the week 6 Bye❓❓ I would have liked a few weeks later. Week 9 or maybe even 10. But to be honest, nothing could ever be worse than 2017 week one bye.🧮 The 🌀Irma game😡😠🤬
