A great podcast as always - I grew up with a mone parents but they kept my kesh and always instilled sikhi values within me. And now, with maharajs kirpa, i have given my sees to Guru Maharaj. It truly begins from day 1, bringing a child up with the values and sangat, SANGAT is so vital

This is a great initiative and I applaud this upraala. I would like to share that facial hair and wearing dastaar is not the norm for Sikh bibiyan. I understand wearing a dastaar is practical compared to wearing a chunni perhaps. Also the head covering relates to protection of dasam duaar energy not just the concept it’s Guru Sahibs hand on your head.

@balkaranbahra9428 thats not true dastaar is a fifth kakaar. when meer mannu was putting the price on sikh's heads thats when women stopped wearing dastaar . otherwise rehat maryada is same for men and women both are army of guru gobind singh ji. without dastaar a bibi is not part of sikh army

WJKK WJKF That’s great that you want to take that step to wearing a Dastar and stop removing facial hair. As Bhenji says in the podcast episode ardass is the most powerful thing. It’s really hard in todays day and age to get that strength and I think many of us all go through that time when we fear what people will think but the power of ardass is so important 🩵 Guru sahib will give you that strength and guidance to overcome these things. Throughout our history we find so many inspiring bhena who wore the Dastar our whole platform inspired by Bibi Harsharan Kaur the 16 year old warrior who was the last shaheed of chamkaur sahib and wore the Dastar as did many singhnia. If not Dastar straightaway then they always covered there kesh with a keski or chunni but the Dastar was given to both Singhs and Kaur’s . Mata Bhaag Kaur, Mata Sahib Kaur just two examples . This Sikhi saroop it’s just as much responsibility for us sisters as it is the Singh’s 🙏🏽 Guru sahib kirpa rakhen ji 🌺 first step is ardass guru sahib will guide you through

@@Jaspalsingh-wl2ox Nope, fifth kakaar is kes - per Sikh rehat maryada. Stop posting misinformation on here.

@RatedRRaj if its not in maryada yet does not mean its not true . all the kakaars are given by guru sahib to keep them as your body part. kes are already on the body . dastaar is for the respect and protection of kes. if keski is not kakaar then why should sikhs wear keski. jogis and jatadhari also have the kes they do nt cut them so are they sikhs? no . guru sahib gave us dastaar to make us different from everybody else. dastaar is the crown given by guru gobind singh ji . proper respect to dastaar is not given if we do not look at it as a kakaar . that is what is happening today. soon guru sahib will change the rehat maryad of akaal takht and the truth will be revealed

@@Jaspalsingh-wl2ox Keep dreaming and living in fantasy world. Its fine to have your beliefs and opinions, and for others to respect them, but don’t go enforcing them onto others expecting them to follow your footsteps only. Out of all the different jathas and groups/divisions, only one of them says that kes is not a kakaar, all the rest follow the same one. Nothing makes you that special. You just contradicted yourself and answered your own question, “if keski is not kakaar then why should Sikhs wear keski”, then “guru sahib gave us dastaar to make us different from everybody else”, so perhaps thats the reason why then? The entire Khalsa panth accepts and abides by only one maryada and that is the Akal Takhat maryada. You’ve just literally and openly defied it by stating it doesn’t make it untrue if its not in maryada. Then you go into fantasy land and dreaming again by claiming Guru Sahib will reveal truth and change maryada. Look around you, the panth is a joke today and Sikhi is progressing so slowly whilst every other faith is advancing. Nothing is happening for us anytime soon until we better ourselves first.
