Today we depart from Moab, Utah and follow the Colorado River, which we have only seen from afar. Enjoy the river flow and changing scenery as you enter Colorado from Utah. The first stop in Colorado is the Colorado National Monument, a landscape filled with red sandstone canyons filled with strange rock formations and the story of John Otto, who pioneered the area. Starting at the southeast entrance of the park, the breathtaking 23-mile (37 km) Rim Rock Drive takes you to several overlooks along the scenic route to the west entrance.
