It is still surreal that our Seawind 1260 is really here and is really ours. I think Dr. Robert Goddard said it best when he said:
“It is difficult to say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow.”
We are existing in the tomorrow. We boarded “Moments in Time” for the very first time and got to see our reality for the very first time. We felt happy, sad, scared, and overjoyed. We motored “Moments in Time” into the Chesapeake Bay to get a feel for her, practiced some man overboard drills and returned her to Bert Jabin Yacht Yard so the final rigging can be completed. We loaded our “Day 1 Provisioning” gear (See • Episode 32 - Day 1 Pro... ) We ate our very first meal onboard “Moments in Time”, basked in her glory before reluctantly leaving her for the day. We shall return as this is just the beginning and much still needs to be done. But at least “Moments in Time” is safe in home waters. 😊
As always, please feel free to comment and let us know your thoughts.
