great video. I have a sony muteki STR-KM7600 and a KM7000, both front speakers and surround R are low compared to the others. it is not a speaker problem. The mosfet looks good too (i tested it on place without removing it or cutting the tray, is it ok?), I re-solder the pre amp and nothing yet. Any idea what else should I test?

Hi. Great video. See, my muteki has all audios OK, except for the front left. It works but is very low, should it be one of these transistors?

Very good analyzes; I have run across my fair share of collector emitter shorts with audio equipment. In rare cases in a push pull driver circuit I have found they tested good until I tested the actual hFE, example one driver will test 25 and the other 125 clearly showing the higher gain drawing more current while switching that can course weaker sound and eventually fail.

Hi sir. I found your video exciting. Seen sony antique products repairing nicely. I want your little help. I've sony hifi music system model Sony LBT - zux10d. Its been working nicely but recently whenever i start the unit it display shows Please Wait. Dvd tray open & close but disk doesn't play. Its display show Only Please Wait. When it shows Please Wait sound doesn't come even in Fm, not even in tape and audio in. Please suggest what is the problem in it. Thanks alot

I have tested a lot of transistor and they tested fine with digital multi-meter but measure bad when testing with analog meter. The correct meter is an Analog meter that carries a 9 volt and two 1.5 volts batteries. Also some transistor may test fine but the gain maybe low causing problems, Transistor are a tricky thing.

Hello sir ji my sony's music system is its volet problem, it is completely closed but its 1 swich o switch 230v 220v 120v like this, if i use 120v for a second then power comes on 220v and 230v pe does not have any power, what can be the problem in him, thank you for telling your opinion

hi there,i have a sony amp str-k1500 when it is switch on after a while the music setting presets skips it has hall,concert and jazz keep apprearing on the screen of the amp and no sound when that happens

नमस्ते सर जी मेरा सोनी का music सिस्टम हे उसका volet का प्रॉब्लम आया पुरा बंद हे पर पिछे उसके 1 swich हे ओ स्विच 230 v 220v 120v असे हे उसेमे अगर मे 120v पे कूच सेकंद के लिय करता हू तो power आ जाता हे पर 220v और230v pe कुछ भी power नही आता उसेमे कया प्रॉब्लम हो सकता हे आप की राय बताई ये धन्यवाद

Hey I have STR-KM77 Sony muteki 7.2, all speakers are working order no bass coming from subwoofers. Test tone SW empty nothing . all factory reset done.checked wires , fuses all good..can any one advise the problem

That radiator looks like a tin can. How can that small cooling fan keep the thing from bursting into flames at full power? I had amps with a foot long radiator that went into protection because of the heat at about 100 WPC.

I don't know man, I cook mine with large speakers set on A+B mode that rattle the house and it seems to do fine Sony knows a thing or two about heat sinking. Onkyo on the other hand is a piece of shit company that doesn't know how to heat sink their on-board DAC chips.

My muteki 7.2 is going into protection mode intermittently. Sony service center is unable to repair it or arrange for new main board. Has anyone worked on the main boad?

@@johnyfernandes8988 protection mode on sony amps is triggered by a short, its trick to diagnose but cable connections mainly do that, check those connectors that are belt the connections maybe shorted on 7.2ch check the one from the front panel to the back if not try others. Then another thing check for water damage especially on the top part above the ventilation gril, water can enter the Amp through that grill remove that panel clean with isopropyl alcohol or even cab cleaner, be patient though but u may win mine once did that. Good luck
