Irish rockers released 12 albums in 12 years time. Some great, others average, and only a couple I would call subpar. Would have been interesting to see where they would've gone had Phil made it past 36 years old. 36 man, that is too young to die!
NOTE: Gave wrong year of release for Bad Reputation, should have been 1977.

Killer video Steve!! Thanks for the shoutout!! You got it right, Johnny The Fox is my favorite album but Emerald is my favorite song!! Ace Frehley does an amazing cover if it with he and Slash trading off soloing!!! Cheers to you my friend!! 👍🤘🤘

Hi Steve!! cool video and great list too.... i discover the band long after they end and then went back and started listening to their catalogue and learn about the band and Phil's tragic story. They are a band i need to get more of their stuff into my collection, right now only have "Afterlife", but looking after the rest of their releases a very underrated band!! cheers and be well

Thanks Christian! It is a tragic story. He contributed greatly, but in many ways he wasted his life. To die at 36, with the talent he had, is very sad.

I enjoyed hearing your ranking. My first Thin Lizzy album was Fighting as well. I also have Jailbreak and Johnny The Fox but I have been having my eye out for more when record shopping. My favorite of those may be the popular Jailbreak. It sounds like Bad Reputation should be my next pickup. Cheers.

Happy St Lizzy Day, great ranking of a great band, like your view on it event if I would rank it it would be diffrent for sure. But agree on the Live Album that it's smoking! Cheers!

Steve this was great. Thin Lizzy is a band that I never tried out for whatever reason. Then I found a hits CD in the wild and loved it. I hardly ever see their vinyl but I did get lucky and found your runner up. I would like to get that live album tho. Same thing for Golden Earring but I've found quite a few of them in the wild. Good stuff. 🍺

Love Thin Lizzy great ranking Steve its hard to do. Fighting seems to be my go to a lot. Yet I do not have the Live and Dangerous LP which is shocking!

Thanks for the ranking. I'm going to have to listen to Bad Reputation - I've never heard it. I thought Jailbreak was my favorite Thin Lizzy record. I do have Fighting (with the alternate cover) so I'm going to give that a listen.

Not that easy finding any TL vinyl (used at record stores That is). I bet you are one of the few people that have this discography. I didn’t realize how short Gary Moore’s span was. Cool video!

@@alltheworldsastage899 I was just commenting on Chris from Rekkid Talk's spell Ireland entry where he also showed Thin Lizzy and said that most probably Iron Maiden got the dual lead guitar setup from Thin Lizzy amd Wishbone Ash. I think these were the earliest hard rock bands to do this to such an extent. Or maybe not? What's your take on this?

@@legopaidi You are 100% correct. I've read where Steve Harris has said exactly that. Only one who beat them to the dance was the Allman Brothers, I think they were the first band to have dual guitars.

We're not that far off, we have the same 1 and 2, and share 3 or the same top 4. But with a band like this, the quality of songs are very minute from say their 5th best to their 8th best. Cheers!

They are so much more than what you've heard on the radio, which is very true with many bands. Black Sabbath are more than Paranoid and Iron Man. Deep Purple are more than Smoke on the Water and Woman from Tokyo. Golden Earring are more than Radar Love and Twilight Zone. Get on it Brian!

@@alltheworldsastage899 I asked her and it seems that he was born at the same place or at least in Smethwick and supposedly lived around the same area but he moved away at a very early age. That's all I got anyway. 😅
