While I haven't delved into Melinda's books yet, her demeanor suggests she makes a great author and journalist. Her authenticity and straightforward personality make her an engaging conversationalist. She doesn't sugar coat or assert superiority but rather articulates her points with respect and grace. It seems almost providential for Melinda to delve into these narratives, particularly those involving Black tragedies like Anele & AKA and Senzo & Kelly. Some aspects of life are simply suited to certain individuals; it aligns with their inherent purpose and mission. Few South African journalists or authors would likely undertake such deep exploration and public presentation of these stories, given the cultural complexities woven within them that may instill fear. I remember on one of the episodes following the AKA's murder, even Sol and Mac hesitated to speak on that. Melinda's impartiality as a white journalist brings essential objectivity, crucial for reporting on such matters. She makes a good point in highlighting that these stories are of public interest, and In all cases, people want to know the truth. Her passion in writing, together with her history aligns perfectly with that need, and I hope the book does well. Kudos to Sol, Gostie, and the entire team for your work. 👌👌Wishing Mac a speedy recovery. She was “taken aback” by him distancing himself and his spokesperson saying he didn’t commission or contribute to the book. Why was she taken aback? They probably agreed that he would at least admit to contributing to give the book validity and credibility. The more he denies, this lady will expose his role in the book 😂🤫👂
