Okay I am SO glad to see him in the original Tugger costume instead of that stupid Hiphop thing from the London revival. This is so much better

Cats is really the ultimate example of the triple threat nature of musical theatre.

I really, really, REALLY appreciate the effort he is putting into this vlog. The timing of what he records, the moments that both they as as cast and we as fans want to participate in over and over again, moments we don't get to see, (the first curtain call from backstage, the first toast, cast reactions after the first preview, AND the sitzprobe?!) SUCH A GREAT VLOG. And I really hope he does this for more than 8 weeks, I have truly grown to appreciate him and Sara and so many others!!

As much as I rag on Cats, I have to admit that the overture is one of the most enthralling ever composed for Broadway, especially with the actors running down the aisles.

For my 6th birthday I got to go and see Cats in Milton Keynes which I was really excited about. Little did I know that there was more to it. I loved Cats when I was little (and I still do) so my mum sent them a picture of me dressed up as Victoria, and the director thought it was so cute (he apparently went round and showed the whole cast and crew the picture..) so he arranged so I could come backstage. The costume designer gave me her sketch of Victoria and I actually got to meet the dancer who was playing her! I also got to see the stage and meet several other dancers. To sum it up: Best birthday ever. :)

Hearing the cast and the orchestra gave me chills and tears. I so want to see this one day!!

When Trevor Nunn talks about the band I felt so happy. Nowadays at many Broadway productions the sound engineers undermine the orchestra which is awful. Cats has a really strong score instrumentally too, seems like we're gonna hear a terrific orchestra!

Cats is my favorite musical. Everyone here is so kind and full of personality. The costumes are incredible. The cast chemistry is on point. Also, the fact that everyone prays before a show just makes my heart so full of joy! You guys are the best! God bless you all!

I love that we got to see some of the Sitzprobe! How amazing was that! Also, I have to say, Tugger's ensemble unitard (from what I could see) appears to be way different from usual. Does he have an entire new unitard in this production that he actually has to change out of instead of just adding his mane and other bits and pieces?

I just got to see the touring show for cats and our production was amazing and it got a standing ovation everyone did fantastic and I’m sure everybody in this production did fantastic as well. Much love ❤️

2:29 ... tom hooper should have watched this before even beginning work on the “film” you cannot separate the performers from the music and vice versa. it just doesn’t work that way.
