You're lucky to find rudd in the wild. They hybridise with roach and lose their orangey bits. I've got some in my pond plus some in my aquarium. They're better than goldfish. Cleaner. They're keen eaters of my elidia densae. I've got tons of blackberries in the garden, if they fed my rudd then all well and good! Thanks for the video. Great watch, great hobby.

Beautiful weedy lake. Stunning fish. Enjoyed watching that. A lovely reminder of summer on a wet autumn evening!

Loved this! Love rudd and blackberries are a great bait. But elderberries are the one for me had a few 3lbers on elderberries. Every new venue I go now I will always see what trees are in the margins to see what naturals they could be eating as they fall in the water, weither it be roach and chub in the river or carp and rudd on still waters. Great video guys like where you going with these. Keep them coming!

Great to see some Rudd fishing. Has to be my favourite species, also really enjoy the interactive element of fishing on the drop. Enjoyed the video, hopefully you get back to that pool as suspect it holds some real clonkers. Thanks .

In areas with blackberry bushes overhanging the water they usually work. I've caught Roach, Skimmers and Chub on them in the past. Mostly Chub. Notts Canal, Clifton area near boots factory.

Cheers mate, I’m looking forward to trying them for chub

Really good video, again. Rudd are an amazing fish. Where you fishing on the bottom or up in the water? Rudd on the dry fly is really good fun as well

Great vid again rich. Was up on Bradley’s in the cotswolds last year and had a 3lb 8oz Rudd. Shame it was on the carp gear but an amazing fish.

I had over 20pound of roach on elderberries,I gave it a go as a joke because I had a big elderberry bush overhanging my swim ..

I know what you mean when you say "in the weeds" because I've lost a 3 pound rudd once due to it swimming in to the weeds. They are smarter than you think

My kind of fisherman respects all fish not just big carp on private syndicate lakes that the public will have very little of not no access to
