I'm surprised at the brake line pinching problem. That should have been caught during pre registration inspections. Very strange. Thanks for posting.

Good plan to do your youtubing while gone! It is always awesome to have quality time with the family when you are home. I really like that aux fuel tank on the trailer!! Hats off to Sandcrest for doing that, as well as the other upgrades.Are you able to tell how much your trailer was, as it was set up like those options? Great video, as always!! Thank you for the trailer review!! Safe driving!

Poor QC, disappointing to be honest, I'm sure it cost a pretty penny. I also think all trailer manufacturers will have small things like this
@brucedoxey58155 жыл бұрын
But they should not. If they screw up, and they find out about it, they should have a meeting and discuss with their people how NOT to do the same things time and time again.

Man I was just in south bend sitting in the motel 6 parking lot. We could of had lunch lol. Anyway really like the channel. And after your talking about sandcrest I would buy a trailer from them. And load trail for a professional factory built trailer. Does some skimpy things with there builds. But all and all I’m still a fan of the load trail. Love all the extras on your trailer. I’m undecided about the deck above the neck. Curious what you decided about that. Be safe blessings

This company better get their stuff together. Better check over your trailer when you buy it. Good thing they are working with you.

wheel studs are probably short cause of the centrabalance thing added between the duals.
@roadtriptinytrucker78294 жыл бұрын
I actually checked that. I have one trailer without them and it's no better. The centramatic is probably less than 1/32" think. It's very thin. You cant even notice a difference in stud length between the trailer with and without centramatics.

My trailer came with 2 compressors instead thats weird. I was wondering if the investment would pay off i came from a single tire trailer
@bryanschmid18495 жыл бұрын
I didn’t see an air dryer. Is there a port to pour alcohol into the high end of the system so water can be evacuated before it becomes a problem in the winter? If not. You might want to have them install a T off the compressor. It will save you a world of 💩in the long run. Nice trailer & review though. 😉

GM Paul, Enjoyed your video on the trailer brand, Im in the market for a trail myself? I liked how they installed fuel tank for you but while you were walking the trailer I noticed that the weld quality was the worst Ive seen! Weld quailty is very important for load strength and integrity of the trailer. Now with regards to safety issues on the bolt engagement should have plenty of thread with or without your centromatic balancer? They should have made better bracket on the mud flaps? Maybe just poor quality? Or one lazy shop hand in the fabrication of the trailer??? After seeing the break line issue was the breaker for me! I appreciate the pin stripping but they really need to put that money into there CAD design of there trail to meet and beat market standards? I pay for good quality not just service....

Well you are correct about how the truck carries some of the weight, you are off a bit on how trailers have to be rated. You can't rate a trailer higher then the combined rating of all axles. With the wheel nuts the DOT officer would be correct in saying the wheel studs aren't long enough. Sure there is lots of thread engagement but by law you have to have a FULL nut of thread engagement
@roadtriptinytrucker78292 жыл бұрын
You absolutely CAN rate a trailer higher than the combined rating of the axles. Every one of my 4 stepdecks are rated at 90,000 gvwr, but have 2 23k axles. Every commercial trailer made is rated higher than its axles, because some of the weight is carried on the power units axles.
@roadtriptinytrucker78292 жыл бұрын
Also, yes, I agree. Though the stud engagement is ample, it would be a point of contention. The stud lengths were actually fixed by load trail.

I know it's one more step, but how about a big chunk of wood between the ramps so they don't pull together when strapping.

Did you get your truck from Enterprise? I ran into an issue for IRP and IFTA because my state wants a title and it has been a real pain. Gonna have to run with trip permits when our driver is over 26k.

@@roadtriptinytrucker7829 Im sure they would but end the end, SC wants the title in their state to generate rev. It would be no point with always getting a new one at 60k. So the workaround is running a trip permit when over 26K until we get our 2nd truck here shortly. The main problem is SC wanting it to be titled in their state smh

Your securement straps are supposed to be inside the rub rail and attached to the trailer frame, not the rub rail. It is called a rub rail, not a securement rail. From the FMCSA web site: Proper Use of Tiedowns The new regulations require each tiedown to be attached and secured in a manner that prevents it from becoming loose, unfastening, opening or releasing while the vehicle is in transit. All tiedowns and other components of a cargo securement system used to secure loads on a trailer equipped with rub rails must be located inboard of the rub rails whenever practicable. Also, edge protection must be used whenever a tiedown would be subject to abrasion or cutting at the point where it touches an article of cargo. The edge protection must resist abrasion, cutting and crushing.

Oh boy. I think its 6 half dozen. They're both trucks. I think they both have issues and you should get the one you're more comfortable in. I will say this, we had a 2018 ram and HATED it. Got a 2019 and it seems like a completely different animal.

Who puts a brake line in to fail? I would not buy a Loadtrail just for that. That could have killed someone and what are they going to say "Opps, my bad." Are we to inspect brake lines on everything we buy? I guess they think so.
@roadtriptinytrucker78294 жыл бұрын
Yes, I'm actually very surprised they HAVEN'T had a lawsuit, there were multiple people got trailers that the brake lines failed because of this, that would be bad.
