Thank you for all the wonderful comments. Pleased you enjoyed the video. For those wondering, yes, we were indeed given complete, unsupervised access to film the car. Guenther stayed with us just long enough to shoot his stand-up interview, then he had to leave us alone to get on with his ever busy day in the office. Enjoy!

I was born in England and started watching F1 when Murray was the lead commentator and I was around 7. Our team was just as good. I grew up (literally) watching them, and Peter, Will and Leigh over the years.... They just were F1 to me. It's not the same watching the British feed now. We were very lucky.

I had forgotten how well Mr. Matchett speaks! So smooth with a great tone. Why we have to live with most of the knuckleheads on SKY F1 is beyond me. There is nobody on that channel that can technically speak like Steve. You need to be still working in F1!. More content please!

I miss this!!! I came into F1 watching you on SPEED. I really miss seeing you guys on air. I still throw clag in once in a while why watching a race. Turn down the lights and turn up the volume!!!!!

Chiming in also. Watching the Speedvision crew became a family gathering event for us, and our kids are still big F1 fans as a result. David, Steve, Bob, and Peter were a classic crew. F1 races were a special sanity in that post-9/11 world. Steve, you were the sane one in the group, and I always looked forward to your engineering and operations insights.

Fantastic! I was an Indycar/CART fan before I started watching F1 & thought I knew open wheel racing. I didn’t. You explained so much about F1 rules as well as the cars themselves (without making viewers fall asleep), I was hooked! Also loved the little jabs between you & Mr. Hobbs. Good times!

First of all, Steve, you look well. I don't think you've aged a day since the last NBC Sports broadcast! Second, this is incredible. This kind of candid access is Amazing! I love it! Lastly, I never noticed how much Guenther sounds like Nandor from What We Do In The Shadows. I'll never un-hear that.
