The interconnectivity of our Era of digital globalization is truly a fantastic one. Not utopian, but contrasted to the '60s media and information world it's fantastic (and therefore very complicated).

18:40 my theory is that this has propelled men historically into transgenderism. If you adopt the cultural position of “woman” you extract yourself from the “fight or die” machismo social coordinate of _manliness._

this episode sounds like it was influenced by Joe Rogan Podcast :) "domination", "alpha", "man's man", aggression etc.. I didnt even really even think that was the inherent nature of man till I head that podcast, i think he sorta paints that picture.. In my family (and others i know) the mother was way more aggressive, dominant, bossy, etc..

Wait, your ex-wife’s grandmother is basically a blood relative (1:14)? Sounds like a story there! Really enjoy your shows.

not sure if the revolutionary potential would wholly be wasted if the reality you believe in doesnt exist, the energy would still be expended but the effect would have been a different outcome, ie: maybe you're like the Serbs on the eve of WWI and end up making everything worse without realizing that a peaceful path towards what you wanted was already underway.

Sports have been competitive and "territorial" throughout human history, disregarding the sistem in turn, because it reflects human tribal and conflictual nature. Sounds simplistic? because it is simple. The only way to explain constants in history and throughout cultures with little to no contact between them, is via nature.

This does not mean we cannot rise over our nature (afterall we have the capability to question it). But rejecting our nature is the best way to never be able to superced it.

this "nature" of humans, of sexes, has been a result of hundreds of thousand, maybe millon years, of evolution. Evolution does care about moral. Evolution cares about survival. Humans have lived MOST of their history (i mean, as a species) endangered by predators and other humans. Bodies and brains evolved so that women (who had to carry children) were best suited to activities in wich strenght was not needed (afterall, throughout pregnancy they needed to chill, for the sake of the baby), and man HAD to be agressive to defend their families and tribes. It is not a question of moral, of it was good or bad, if it was FAIR OR JUST, it was what was needed. Probably there were different cases, different gen mutations: pacific men, agressive women, etc. But that wasnt suitable for survival in the media humanity lived up to a couple of thousand years ago. WE NEED TO ACCEPT THIS. This does not mean we cant deal with agresive behaviour, this means we have to acknowledge that getting rid of it will take PLENTY of evolution, in a media in wich agressive behaviour is not needed. Culture is at the same time a reflection of genes, aswell as a perpetuator of certain behaviours. Nothing is exclusively biologic, but biology is definitly at the roots of everything.
