Another big cause of laminitis is also drug related like laminitis after steroids. It is not rare at all. I missed this information here.

Hi George. Thanks for viewing and commenting. Studies are still inconclusive in directly linking the use of steroids to laminitis. (Check out the PubMed link below to access the studies). That said, we always assess patient signalment, body condition, and history prior to use of steroids.
