Sir, Srinath is the hero of Shubhamangala and it was released in 1975, If we look at Srinath's face and hairstyle in his movies of 1970 to 1975 it was very different hairstyle, he was much leaner in his earlier movies of 1970-1973. So when you said shooting of Shubhamangala was done in 5 years, Srinath's physique, facial structures and hairstyle doesn't match properly for 5 years. In Shubhamangala Srinath's hairstyle is long hair similar to late 1970s . I think script writing, music recording might have taken more time than shooting

Its only in Indian movies we see songs almost in every movies except parallel cinema. While Song helps to progress the story which has been cleverly used by many directors otherwise it is used mainly as fillers. Majority of the Indian movies have script material for maximum 1 hour but to push it to 2 hours they use Songs as the fillers. Maybe they could have released 2 versions. One with songs and other without songs.
