So many interesting things about this: all amazing. 1. Andy sings this live here in exactly the same key as the original recording. Most 'pop' singers sing live down a semi-tone or whole tone. 2. Most live pop singers take the key down as they get older, clearly Andy does not. The original was released in 1991. This vocal is 20 years later! 3. Most 'pop' singers do not sound nearly as good live as the original recording (with of course notable exceptions). Andy, sounds amazing, almost exactly like the original studio recording.

Esta canción cambió mi vida de la noche a la mañana en tercer grado de la secundaria. Era el nerd, el pasado de moda el buleado en fin. Eran los últimos días del curso y hubo un convivio para los alumnos que terminarían la secundaria. Yo ahí sentado como siempre junto con el clan de los nerds y los no populares. De repente sonó esta canción y algo me jaló al centro del patio de la secu. Digamos que la canción me dió el empuje para empezar a tener seguridad en mí mismo y a disfrutar mi juventud. Era el comienzo de una nueva etapa y años de la mejor época de mi vida. Gracias Erasure.

Este grupo en realidad se dio a conocer en los 80s . Lo que pasa es que como en muchos otros casos sus producciones llegaron a tener impacto tal que trascendieron a los 90s. Pero bueno lo importante es que es musica muy buena e innovadora en su momento. Saludos 😄👍

I was fortunate to see erasure at the Milton Keynes bowl, 1st September 1990. The final wild tour party, words cannot describe how amazing it was. 60 thousand people, the highlight of my life ✨️

Love To Hate You foi claramente inspirada em I Will Survivor, sucesso de Gloria Gaynor, e ainda assim é um clássico do pop que não fica muito atrás do hit da década de 1970. Lembro do sucesso que Erasure fez com essa canção no Brasil, em 1992. Mesmo vindo na esteira de outros (Mon L'Amour, Star, A Little Respect, Blue Savanah etc), Love To Hate You explodiu em todas as rádios FM's do país.

I am a big fan of New Wave, Eurodisco and similar. Since my young ages I have been dreaming to listen all my favorite songs from Andy's voice (songs of Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, New Order, etc).. I think this video is enough to prove that I was right to dream about this :D

It's amazing to discover that the harmonies are not synthesized, and there are real human voices on the live performances (maybe even on the actual recording). Besides, it's inevitable to share their joy - very charismatic, beautiful young ladies!... This one keeps sending shivers up and down my spine!... ;-)

Esa canción fue la primera que escuché de ellos cuando tenía 9 años y me impresionaba la letra y el ritmo y ahora de 44 años me recuerda cuando era niña y los escuché por primera vez y suena muy bien en vivo apesar los años

his voice got deeper with age.. but still one of the best singers ever. love you, Andy! I know these songs are about gay relationships but even though Im straight, I feel that these slngs talks to my heart and about all I went through for more than 20 years. and also, these songs are awesome!
