I've had one of these for 4 years and its still good. Yes the laser packed up after about a month but I never used it much. Yes it took ages to figure out how to best pack it away but thats sorted. I'm still using the original blades and they work fine. I have chased out walls for electrical conduit using the diamond wheel and it's excellent. The dust extraction is remarkably good considering the tools price point.. I'm very pleased with it overall.

Brought one today only for little DIY, never used a circle saw so have been watching safety tips on them but ur video has helped

It's a good little saw with bags of power, I'm a tradesman with an endless amount of tools but still I find this useful.

I have to say that out of all the expensive 240v tools I once carried in my van but now replaced with battery, this saw is the one that is still in the van being used for floors

I got myself an Erbauer paddle mixer thinking, "If I get a year out of it it'll be worth it"......over 3 years later it is still going strong and it hasn't had an easy life, believe me! I may well give this plunge saw a go as well, thanks for the review, David.👍

Good stuff! thanks for the info Jim if you do get one let me know what you think

Great review. 'm just thankful that not all tools are battery powered. For home use DIY, corded tools are much better value. Too many times tools get thrown out because a new battery is as expensive as a new tool.

Totally agree with you, same thing will happen with electric cars.

The case was clearly designed for a pre production model with no cable. I used a multi tool to cut away part of the box inners giving more space for the cable. I'll probably cut more away to accommodate the fence which pointlessly sticks out of the lid, pressing on the cable despite there being room for it to fit the other way up. Really good saw with a good quality but poorly designed case. The dust extraction connector is an odd size which fails to fit my Henry vacuum but recently discovered a washing machine drain hose fits perfectly to the saw.

I've got the almost identical (except for the variable speed) WORX branded version and use it quite a lot. The diamond blade is especially useful for chanelling brick and plaster walls. Cut 2 or more parallel slots and then easily cold chisel the bits between.

I tried the Word one first but found it a bit on the heavy side

Thanks for the video, does it work on ceramics, ie could it be used to remove grouting in a tiling patch job?

I bought a Erbauer mini circle saw 650w a few months ago. Can it cut on an angle.

How do you put the blade in

I've thought about getting one from time to time it could use a guiding grip tab on the front for the other hand
@dmgladden3 жыл бұрын
Use the other hand to hold your wood

Hi Dave, great video, theres no argument it is a good little saw, I just returned my due to the laser issue and replaced it with the Bosch 12v cordless mini circular saw which is just as good if not better because i find it less restricting without the 240v cord. Have you tried replacing the batteries in the laser compartment because its so easy to leave on when using and then it absolutely drains them ?
@dmgladden3 жыл бұрын
yes Ive got the same issue its to go back to Screwfix to get sorted

hi David. do you find that the motor head gets really hot really quickly, even with no load? is that normal? or have I got a duff unit? cheers! Steve.

Thanks for the vid, can you tell me if it can be used to cut bottom of skirting boards in situ? specifically to a thin slither for LVT installation, so 3mm or so ? thanks
@dmgladden Жыл бұрын
No it won't cut that close to the floor your better with a multi tool
@mattwarren69 Жыл бұрын
@@dmgladden ok i thought so. Can you recommend which tool ( make and spec ) would be good for this? something with good power so that I'm not spending forever cutting the skirting as is the case with some of battery powered multi tools> I appreciate your response ,cheers

Hi, did you experience much kick back with this? As soon as I plunge the saw it kicks immediately making it impossible to cut with (using a standard blade cutting plywood)
@dmgladden Жыл бұрын
Hi no not really its I guess as good as I could expect for the price

A year or two ago, Erbauer were cheep, nasty tools. Recently they have massively upped their game, and the tools are now far better quality!

yes it seems so im quite impressed so far

From what I have the heard the new EXT range (which I have got a few tools from) can knock spots off the old Erbauer kit. Not only does it look professional but also feels that way. Great quality tools at an absolutely unbeatable price! The fact that all there cordless range of 18v kit is brushless is also an amazing bonus considering the great value for money price tag! 👍
@dmgladden3 жыл бұрын
@@benh1216 never seen or heard anything about the range you talk of but I'm finding this particular saw quite amazing it is handling heavy site work without any problems and that's all I ever look for, but thanks for the info
@benh12163 жыл бұрын
@@dmgladden Yeah. Well it's pretty good as mentioned. If you search "Erbauer" on B&Q or Screwfix it will come up with all the new EXT range. Would definitely recommend if your looking for some great bargain tools that will do the job and more! There is also Ryobi which I heard are decent. However don't know much about them since haven't used them!

Erbauer don't seem to have a spares or repair department....Screwfis and now B&Q will just replace the whole thing whilst under warranty.
@dmgladden3 жыл бұрын
i was told to take it to them for a repair but if they want to give me a new one i wont argue lol
