Visit the Mrs every weekend from Friday to Monday in Erdington and now Stockland green friendly people mixed with poor folk druggies alcoholics sad but a political choice placed in the areas in Birmingham

Born and raised in Erdington left 47 years ago was a great place to grow up, the High street used to be thriving with loads of decent shops. I've heard that it's not as nice now. Glad to go for the walk with you King fire brings back some nice memories.

I lived in Erdington until 1967 when I left for Nottingham at the age of 19 and the change is unbelievable! It wasn't until I saw the Domino Pizza place in what was the old Municipal Bank that I realised that this walk began on the lead up to 6 Ways Erdington - my old "stomping ground". I lived for a while in Harrison Rd (seen briefly at 7:05) on the corner of which was the Griddle Inn where we whiled away hours over a single cup of coffee, the alternative hang out was the Pop Inn only a minutes walk away. We played snooker in the hall over Burton's Menswear which was next door to the Carlton Club (later Mother's) where we saw the great bands of the day. There was a Gardeners Milk Bar too, opposite the Acorn Pub and both my adoptive parents rest in the Churchyard opposite that, but what a change! Erdington used to be a somewhat "genteel" suburb back in the old days, now it's clearly a thriving, cosmopolitan, multi-cultural area. Thanks for the memories, much appreciated!

If you go to Handsworth newton or Aston with a good camera ur gonna get robbed so go to edgebaston Solihull or Sutton coldfield

@@KingFire220 wow Jamaican. Can't wait as never eated that food. I read it's like my food. Rice, peas chicken. What is Jamaican breakfast like? We have eggs and vodka to help with starting day.

@@KingFire220 not a fish kind of person really. Prefer eggs. Found a local shop. I tried oxtail today and was excellent. Can't get over flavours and rice and peas different to what we have. This has coconut infused and peas were what we call kidney beans and was flavourful on its own. But with oxtail, was excellent. Had few extras and sides. Drops of hot pepper sauce too add heat and acidity. Very good!
