This is THE best video out there. Thanks so much. I was under the impression I could tuck babies feet under them and have them in the wrap, not dangling out the wrap. My poor newborn. Thanks I'll be doing this in future!

Baby wearing is dope! I have an 11 year old that I wore. He and I are very close. I am excited to have another little buddy coming soon. I will wear him as well. I think all fellas should wear babies. It's the most gangster thing a guy can do.

Thank you for explaining how to solve the problem for the airway to be clear. My little girl got upset because she couldn't see much because of the fabrick being very close to her face, now I know the solution 🙏

Fantastic! Thank you for posting this video. I'm just wondering if I leave baby's head uncovered by the wrap, is that enough support for her little neck. I'm 31 weeks and trying to get all my learning in. :)

No problem at all. So, if baby is held withknees above bottom, with a gentle curve to their spine, their head will tend to rest upon the wearer. It is therefore not essential to cover the back of their head (and not all babies like this). However, it can be useful - especially when baby is sleeping, to give a little extra support and to reassure the wearer. Make sure the front of the face is uncovered to allow lots of fresh air to circulate. I hope that helps. Thank you so much! Is it common for babies to cry a bit once their in it, or could that mean they are in pain? Mine falls asleep in it and then wakes up screaming, which he doesn't do in any other circumstances.

Hi! Thanks for your message. Babies can sometimes be a little unsettled when being put into a carrier or wrap but no, it's not usual for them to wake up screaming. Some things to check are: Is baby sat comfortably with their weight on their bottom - knees higher than bottom - and the fabric spread evenly from one knee-pit to another? Has baby got clothing scrunched up (eg into their knees or between you and them)? If baby is wearing a sleepsuit with feet, make sure the fabric over their feet is pulled away from their toes, so there's no pressure on toes.

Would I need to unwrap for breastfeeding or it would be possible directly from the carrying position? Sorry for a newbie question.

Hi! No problem at all. Yes, it's very possible to breastfeed with the wrap still on. You can either take baby out of the wrap and support in arms - moving the fabric to one side - or you can use it to support baby's weight for feeding. How do you make sure its not too tight or too loose? I'm worried I have it too tight, but when I have it looser he just starts falling down.

If you watch the video it shows you how to ensure all the slack is in the cross. You want to make sure there’s enough space to fit baby securely. The wrap should hold your little one as tight as a cuddle in arms. So it needs to be snug but not uncomfortably so. Once you’ve got it right for you and your little one, look at how long the fabric hanging down from the knot is. Then - next time - you can see if it’s a similar length. Hope that helps.

My friend wants to know how to do this for her little dog that follows her around so when she does barn work, it will feel secure because she has lots of bigger dogs.

Thanks for your question. People do often use carriers for dogs. Generally a pouch sling tends to be the most popular, rather than a stretchy wrap. You can often pick them up cheaply on pre-loved sites.

Baby seems to be fine putting in, but he seems to get lower and lower and hurts my back! What am I doing wrong? :-(

Thanks for your question. This is a common issue if there is slack in the wrap where it ties around you. Watch from 1:16 and I show you how to check that all the slack is in the cross, and how to tighten it up if it's too loose. Always make sure all the slack is in the cross

For how long can baby use this wrap? From new born to what age?

They are safety tested to 25lb /11.5kg but most people tend to find a stretchy wrap most useful for the first 4-6 months or so. Some people will happily use them up to 12 months old but it tends to be the newborn days they're most popular for. Once baby gets bigger/heavier people then tend to move onto a more structured option - that they can put on/take off quickly (rather than leaving on all day) and that offers additional carrying positions. Yes, this is lovely from birth. It tends to be most useful for the first 6 months or so, although it's certainly possible to use for much longer (especially when baby isn't well or is teething)

Hi! Thank you for your comment. I have just measured it and this one is 58cm (23") wide and 500cm (196") long. Stretchy wraps tend to fit all shapes and sizes of wearer. You can tie the carrier behind (rather than bringing round to the front) if that works better for you. Please bear in mind - if comparing measurements between different wraps - that the stretchiness and thickness of the material has a huge impact on how long/wide they actually wrap. Hope that helps!
