Eric - sorry for the loss of you dad. It seems like brain cancer ALWAYS takes out the smartest people we know. It got my oldest brother back in 2003 and he was the smartest and wisest person I knew.

I watched the record store scene again. I couldn't tell if there were any CD's there. 1989. I began working at a used record store in 1990. When I started there was one small shelf in their vast shelves of cassettes (with an acrylic window front) of about 100 CD's at the most. Stacked so you could just read the titles. Within about a year that entire side of the store was filled with CD's. The cassettes were on the other side in similar shelves, but I think that both sides might have been filled with cassettes before that. I'm not sure because that store had just moved locations a few months before I began working there.

It's great to hear you guys talking about old times, even though I'm from Serbia(ex Yugoslavia) I can relate to your stories. Born in 1975 I was fortunate to watch the golden era of MTV and of course the Headbangers Ball. Did you watch it? If you did I would like to see you guys taking a video about this topic with Larry if possible :-) I still have a couple of VHS with videos from that time. Keep on rockin' in the free world ;-)

I was watching episodes of that metal show and aging metal came up in my suggested. I clicked because the title applied to me. I’m aging metal! That’s how the rhythm worked. Now I watch it all! Recommend “things not to do in the bathroom” best one ! Thought he would leave the seat up not wash his hands... not what happens.

I watched an aging metal bands video first actually before I stumbled on the e&d stuff. Even without the "background info" I found it funny/entertaining, despite whatever my personal view of the bands discussed was back in the day or now. I guess it's because I'm not really one to get offended about random online stuff, but that has a lot to do with when/how I grew up as well I think. The internet is weird in that way where people seem to feel like #1 strangers actually give a damn what they think #2 the anonymous nature of platforms invites some aggression. I just can't get into that side of the virtual world. But like Larry mentioned it's really cool to see how similar so many of us grew up during that time, no matter where we were living. It was a fun time period to be a kid.

I would love to see the rest of the band members of Macabre sorry if I spelled it wrong, I love watching these. I use to be in a bad myself during summer after high school but I didn’t enjoy as much as y’all did. But I’d love to see that video if Tommy has it! I’m very intrigued.

Is there any tapes of Larry in the 90s? If so, I would like to see those on the channel.
