Eric is spot on about Punk in AEW. The hype was SO huge surrounding his return to wrestling and AEW just fumbled his momentum for months until he started his feud with MJF.

Eric’s really been holding onto something personal that was impacting Sting leading into Starrcade 97. That’s just my opinion, but it feels that way. Eric knows something that only he & Sting know, and, right or wrong, he hasn’t spilled the beans on it. To me, it shows how much respect Eric has for Sting as a human. Eric would rather take the heat for the Starrcade finish, rather than admit anything that would put Sting in a less than perfect light. Eric’s used to being the heel.
@AxeDharme
@AxeDharme Жыл бұрын
That's exactly true. He said as much on his 83 weeks that there are some personal things about Sting that were talked about that afternoon that he won't reveal because Sting himself hasn't discussed them in public. I believe it has something to do with Sting's marital situation at home but beyond that idk

I've gained so much respect for Eric bischoff over the years, I hated him in the wars, but the day he showed up on raw, I was ok with him, now I agree with alot of what he says. I'd watch a wrestling show ran by Eric, Cornette, and Jim Ross. That would be wildly successful.

Cornette and JR would be great on a show together (see Corny’s JR omnibus video on his KZfaq page for details), but idk if either one would tolerate Bischoff for too long. He’s too full of shit. I like him but about 10-15% of what he says is horse shit. That’s too high for Corny/JR.

Fun interview, but it's painfully transparent when Bischoff still holds grudge against someone(i.e. Punk at the 40:00 mark). Punk basically set MJF up for where he's been at the past six months from their short feud, whereas MJF didn't come out any better after that yearlong Jericho feud.

Bischoff is a "gaslighter." Punk is not perfect by any stretch, but just listen around the 37 minute mark, Bischoff says punk was weak in ufc, then he's lame mad punk goofed on hulk hogan...then Bischoff gets pushback that punk had real crowd heat(surprisingly good journalism in puff interview) but then Bischoff pivots to aew botched program...Bischoff was always McMahon asset...has to be the situation.

I don't think it is coincidence that I watched this today, hearing you, Chris, talk about your gratitude in watching the sunset because last night I had a similar experience with a thunderstorm, followed by a sunny sky & rainbow. I was driving around, hearing the music from my phone cut out because it was losing reception. I took that as a sign to observe what was going on around me, which was absolutely incredible once I started paying attention to it. I became grateful for that weather, & I started thinking of other things I was grateful for, including people in my life. The happiness I felt was more than I have experienced in quite some time, & I can't help but wonder if that's what meth feels like 😹. I appreciate what you do so much.

I'm always questioning when it comes to listening to Eric bischoff, obviously he was successful in his own right but he's only honest when it's convenient for him if it paints him in a bad light he's going to twist the truth, he's not a guy you want in the trenches with you, he likes to delegate only, I hear what he has to say but only to a certain point

How do you know? Bischoff has always come across as a straight shooter…he takes responsibility for his shortcomings & doesn’t hide from subject matter. Generals, CEO’s, Presidents, they all delegate. It takes good delegation to run a successful operation.

I just looked up the airing schedule. Kinda wild to look at their leadin to AEW. 12 episodes of friends, 2 episodes of Big Bang spin-off young Sheldon, 4 episodes of Big Bang, and then followed by more episodes of Young Sheldon. But Eric wa incorrect about Power Slap leading into Dynamite. It will actually directly follow Dynamite at 10. It’ll be an interesting test for AEW. Can it help carry an audience into another show of a similar genre for an eight week season? Will be interesting to see.
