This song means a lot to me because it came out at a time when my own older brother was in a bad place out of a job and out of a home. He had argued and cut ties with both of our parents to the point where they weren't willing to help him anymore. Cant count the times he called on me to come help him with a ride or food. I'm incredibly glad to say my brother is back home at moms after making amends and been putting himself forward at work getting back on his feet.

Eric Church is the best concert I've ever been to. Luckily I went to his hometown (well closes big city to his actual hometown) and he goes above and beyond there (does more at other tour stops than most). Four hours of pure energy performing, yeah that was Eric in Greensboro NC a couple of years ago. He is truly a great singer/songwriter and you can tell it comes from the heart.

Eric Church has never made one single bad or boring track. None. Zero. Ever. I'm lined up to fly from Europe to Denver as and when he plays Red Rocks again. My two personal favorites: Mistress Named Music and Mixed Drinks About Feelings - two equally brilliant songs that could scarcely be more different. You want a video of genius? Try the vid to "Some of it"!

I've learned that criminals recruit kids who can't see their own potential. Those kids don't see what their life COULD be because they are so focused on where they are now. I've always enjoyed this song. Grew up in a lil town..... didn't have much crime cause there is a state/federal penitentiary only like 3 minutes out of town, pretty much scared the living hell out of everyone cause the cops could easily just take us there if we got into trouble, and this place holds a lot of Class 3 felons. Had a lot of farms around, so no shortage of work to keep us out of trouble! I really enjoyed your reaction to this song, and to see how it affects you in your own personal life. That is what songs, particularly Country songs, are meant to do. To touch your soul in a unique way. Like I said, this song gets to me cause I grew up in a small town, but also I've had friends from school go out to the city and make so many bad decisions.

If you want a fun song do Eric Church Two Pink Lines. One of his earliest songs and it makes me smile every time. And if you haven't done it Like a Wrecking Ball is such a good one. I hope your brother find his way.

Eric Church is phenomenal, brother. Dude is top 2 for me. He and Luke Combs. Supposedly this song is about his brother, who recently died, although Eric says it isn't. He went through a lot of issues like this with drugs and things. Damn shame.
