I was at that concert. It was sponsored by American Express for their corporate customers in Central Park. Others that performed: Taj Mahal, Stevie Nicks, Sarah Mcloughlin, Keith Richards, Dixie Chicks, and many others that I just can't remember. Every act was awesome.

The guy is amazing. I love the way that Clapton gives him the head nod. Getting the head nod from Clapton says that you have made it.

At some point, they just look at him and just start bursting out with smiles. No matter how good they are as musicians, they must be getting chills just thinking about the fact they are on stage with Eric, their idol. Check it out sometime.

From the Sheryl Crow 'Central Park' album; a sleeper hit; growing and growing as people just love the energy and bite here. Something about the band, the production, the recording, the atmosphere Ms Crow creates - it just works, it just crackles with energy and joie de vivre.

Love how at 4:12 Eric played an A# instead of an F chord there. It's not that often this man's made mistakes while playing. So it was a good chuckle to have on it. Love him!

HISTORY. there was a time not to many decades ago, when there were really only a few bandds that got airplay and popularity... and thus, only so many songs reached our young ears.. and those songs had to be good. This song is one of those, that should be on loop in its own wing of the Museum of ROCK AND ROLL, in perpetuity.

That goes for all of those guys on stage actually....they did the song, Cream and Mr. Clapton proud right here! Mr. Clapton has always been incredible....even during the times he was experimenting with the music he loves (that i'm not keen on..) i loved every song on every album! If only Mr. Hendrix lived as long......imagine the endless possibilities! At least we have what he left us!

I saw Eric Clapton live in 2003, and he had a wonderful, LEGENDARY drummer by the name of Steve Gadd. He's done plenty of recordings by plenty of wonderful people. Steve is, I think, one of my favorite drummers, and one of the best Clapton ever had!

I've heard Clapton solo on this 30+ times, but this one has a drive and edge that nail it for me. Still hard to believe this style was so new in the 60s, and has come thru the years to be standard, requiring some special force to elevate it.

I used to listen this song a ton when I was kid. This is great. They even have a viola! Just like the original. The drummer plays GB's part almost exactly. I think Clapton sings and plays it wonderfully. At 4:10 one of the three guitar players goes to the coda too early.

Crow and Clapton, yes. But the real drivers in this song were the band - the drummer and the bassist really powered it up, while the organist added that welcome burst of keyboard insanity at the end. Five stars for the sheer passion and energy. Even Eric - when he turns to the drummer at the end - seems to be enjoying what he's hearing, and from all accounts he is a really tough taskmaster.
