“If they state Coco nucifera it's coconut oil, the caprylic/ capric triglycerides are a specific fraction of coconut oil, so only the caprylic and capric triglycerides (CCT). There's also fractionated coconut oil contains fractionated fatty acids. In this case they used the CCT because it's an ester with quite light skin feel so it counteracts the greasiness of the coconut oil and it also removes makeup quite well. The PEG-20 glyceryl triisostearate (commercial name Cithrol 10GTIS) is a very good surfactant that emulsifies the balm as soon as water is added and allows it to be cleaned easily. It usually works quite well. If I remember well, Clinique Take off the day has that ingredient too.”

Hello from self-quarantine! I was so excited to see a GTBWM featuring K-Pop Star Eric Nam. He’s paving the way for Asian heartthrobs and he has an impressive skincare routine too. He could be a little more gentle, but still impressive. Also, this video and probably any I shoot over the next month or so, really make me appreciate my team. I can’t wait for Nikki to come back and help me look pretty because my makeup and hair just wasn’t the same. None of this is as fun without my people. I love all of you and I hope you’re safe. ❤️

Women have traditionally been socialized to spend time on their appearance and men have not. I think the underlying attitude is, "Real men don't need to worry about such trivial things." There simply isn't nearly as much pressure put on them to be physically attractive. Also men are afraid of being perceived as effeminate or gay, because sadly, they still face a lot of hostility and the threat of violence from other men.

Sophia Lock yes and no, tbh I am someone who does skincare (a man) and uses products that are for my skin and not gender, but every time I go into Sephora to buy or a skincare shop, I feel out of place because the stores mostly cater to women. So men who don’t know much buy skincare for men just to feel less judged and not out of place. The only store that is more gender neutral is Kiehl’s and I don’t feel out of place there.

Alex G I really don’t like the skincare products from Sephora. They’re very aesthetically pleasing but most are full of fragrance, essential oils and other irritates.

Nah, you guys gotta consider korean men tend not to have facial hair, so when their face is smooth, plus taking care of it, they look younger. I'm a guy who started skin care a few months ago, but I have facial hair, the only difference is my skin looks clearer and healthier, 25 btw. But the facial hair is a dead give away I'm not in my early 20s.

SPOILER ALERT! Ok I have to say I knew Susan wasn’t gonna “freak out” over the coconut oil ingredient because if anyone has been a long term subscriber you know she has said a few times that while she isn’t a fan of regular coconut oil she is ok with formulated coconut oil if it works for your skin. So while I love drama like the next person no drama over here... just keep walking or take notes and learn which I know I learnt a lot about fermented ingredients in skincare and everything ! 💕😘😊 a very informative and fun reaction video!

Never understood why skincare is considered a “feminine” thing. Ever since the 70s, my dad and his brothers always had a basic skincare routine. It was nothing fancy with toners or serums, but they have pride in looking good not just for themselves but their wives. Coming from an island in the Caribbean, when sunscreen wasn’t available they would wear physical sun blockers, ie hats, handkerchiefs, sun parasols. Sun damage and skin cancer aren’t fun guys.

It’s true!! I live in the area he’s from (Atlanta area) and there are SO many Koreans. In fact, if you go to Gwinnett county, you will see a lot of Korean signage, Asian markets, etc etc and part of it is informally called “Korea Town”. I have a male Korean friend who is very into his skincare; more so than any other man I’ve met! Same with a few others I know.

I totally agree with him on the whole water change thing. My water at home (New Mexico) is much softer and accommodating for my skin compared to the water in California (I’m there a few times a month) and I definitely feel like it affects my skin’s texture and the effectiveness of my products.

I love this series so much and I think this is my favorite reaction video so far. Susan is so funny and relatable. I was smiling and laughing the whole time, didn't even notice that this was a 29-min long video. I wish Eric would be able to watch this. Hope you are all safe. ❤
