Seeing Eric dive into the game and hearing their opinions and reactions alongside the campaign and in videos like this one afterwards has been super interesting. Good job on jumping on that opportunity, this was a really great series of videos and i am looking forward to what they have to say about Carcosa moving forwards!

It is very refreshing to see a new player discovering Arkham, and the interaction between Justin and Eric is pure joy to watch :) I had a blast with this series, can't wait to move on to Carcosa!

Knowing the game very well can be a hindrance... Seeing someone new enjoying it is very refreshing! Arkham Horror LCG is a very well made game that we criticize aspects of because we love the rest so much - Seeing someone new embracing all of it with such enthusiasm reminds me why I like this game so much.

Yeah. This series has been great. Eric is a great addition to all of the personalities at PBG...AND his POV from a novice perspective gives a unique viewing perspective for us old dogs who have been playing this game since the earth was cooling Well done!

The museum is generally my low moment of that campaign, but I generally love it! It’s really straightforward with a low level of fidliness. Either to initiate someone new or to try a new deck, it’s a good place to start. Night of the Zealot, even with the return to box, feels more like a tutorial than a complete narrative experience.

Congrats! I am so glad you enjoyed it. I am interested to see where this series goes from here because me and my partner just got back into playing this game, after a long hiatus, and have just completed our first Campaign as well. We too are going in release order so I get the feeling as if we will be playing side by side, and I am exited to see how our experiences differ. (For Note: I played as Bob Jenkins & My partner played Jacqueline Fine for Dunwich)

Felt like time traveling back a year when I just started! Extracurricular's jumble feels like logistic issue where old Deluxe box having to give all future Dunwich encounter sets in the box, leaving less card space for scenario-specific encounter for the first 2 scenarios, then they are forced to use all the recurring sets as much as possible to create story. Since some reasonable ones are used in House, all the remaining cards are dumped into Extracurricular XD (Carcosa / The Forgotten Age first 2 scenarios get smarter with the solution to the same problem...)

I love the veteran + newbie playthrough. I love the idea of watching blind playthroughs of campaigns that I have played, but it sometimes problems come up where the players fundamentally misunderstand something that breaks the scenario. I saw a playthrough of Essex County Express in which the player(playing solo two-handed) completely ignored the text on the back of the train cars and just breezed through while saying aloud "I wonder what I'm supposed to do with clues in this scenario." Lost in Time and Space was a complete disaster as he arbitrarily and automatically moved to locations that were put into play, even when not instructed to do so and furthermore just made up location connections that weren't there. Please continue to slow down a bit and have Eric read the flavor for the scenario bits.

First time I played the train scenario we got so many ancient evils and enemies right at the start, combined with high-clue locations stacked early, that only our guardian made it to the third train car, the other three were swallowed by the rift. We took a short break, reset, tried again and actually got to play it. Wasn't "breezed through it" but still manageable. I expect that variance is part of why it's disliked.
