What a wonderful broadcast to have discovered and thank you so much for posting it. Eric played many sessions for the BBC with lots of different vocalists. If you come across any tapes mentioning Dick Haymes they would be so good to hear. Dick recorded with Eric in 1970 and they appeared on Late Night Extra and other BBC radio shows. Thanks, Clive.

Thank you for uploading this rarity and in such nice quality too. I'm so glad this was rescued from the skip! If you have others in the series, please do dig them out. Out of interest, what open reel machine do you use for your transfers?

I think I have some more part shows which will come in time this was uploaded to my computer via a 1973 Sony TCC-377 I also have a couple of Grundig reel-to-reel tape players and also have a friend who has even older machines should I need them as I have transferred some old paperbacked tapes from 1950. I'm still delving into the box where I have had these stored for many years. But yes, I think I have some more part shows as one show was recorded on two tapes! So there will be more in time. Thanks for your super kind comment. Kev.

Yes, I do have some more half-shows as would you believe these longer shows were recorded on two reels so in time they will come on the channel for sure. It takes me a time to transfer from reel to reel to computer and do any cleaning up and then make it into a video format. So sorry the others have not yet come on but they will for sure that I promise, the next one I have coming on is the first half of a show where he has Bruce Forsyth on as guest singer! Thanks Kev. I remember hearing the Bruce Forsyth show. He made a funny comment about he was going to play the piano...but 'he'...meaning Eric...'does it'. Looking forward to this when you have it ready. Thanks for all your hard work on these. Best wishes. Chris
