I get chills watching this man perform. Un freaking believable - his history, his inventiveness, his talent, and the way he works with his audience. Good for him. Good for us listeners. Good for music in general. Look at all those smiles in the audience. Love it. Gotta gotta gotta see him live someday soon.

Even though his entire collection of touring instruments is worth a total of $2.37, he makes incredible tones and music.
@lesterclaypool19 жыл бұрын
uhm ok but the 1910-1919 martin isnt no 2.37 ,, and that fender bassman is worth about 6000.00 , ,, and his national dobro is about another 5000 .00 what most of you folks dont know is steve here has done alot of producing and work in the music field ,, you may think hes a hobo but theres more to the picture than meets the eye [ steve wold ] and i count over 30 different bands hes either produced or engineered ,,i was a big engineer in the grunge days , in the Seattle area , hes no slouch, but more important he knows tone , and a man like that can make a tin can sound good ,, money or not
@fenderstratguy9 жыл бұрын
***** Cool details! Believe me, I meant no disrespect. I think he's terrific, as a musician, but also as a performer, and most importantly, as a person.
@erikwennerberg3959 жыл бұрын
***** All he meant was that seasick made great music even with less of a cost. But somehow theres always a someone that has to .. erm.. yeah but that cost that.. and that is worth that... My bassman I bought for 2375 not any 6000. Im assuming your a read the price not a seller buyer. Anyone that sells and buys for a living knows theres no fixed prices of an instrument or anything else. Being cheap dont mean less quality, it dont mean slouch and no offense but saying I was a big engineer, you migh been a poplular choice but you were not a big boy. Big boys dont mention their status. And the only claypool I ever heard of is les and if thats you well then I guess I will see you in oakland 31st.
@lesterclaypool19 жыл бұрын
well firts let me correct you read my name Lester Claypool ,, not Leslie Claypool ! and yes i know the worth a good instruments because that is my trade ,,, and if you dont think a Stradivarius is worth what the price tag says that you are sadly mistaken i sugest you go to Gruhn guitars or tom wheeler , im sure Steve could play any guitar and sound like himself thats not my worry i enjoy him very much and i appreciate him using guitars from an era gone by, but make no mistake these guitars where chosen for a reason , and im sure you can hear it
@fenderstratguy9 жыл бұрын
***** Well I sure didn't mean to start all this commotion. Now that Steve has some legal tender I suppose he's investing some of it toward his tone....beyond his Mississippi drum machine and his Sherm-ocaster. Bet he uses more expensive string for his guitar straps, too!
