LOL, anyone else catch that sign @7:42...? Eric and Mega are undercover and living life dangerously! Heh I love this video, mainly because I've always wanted to see what a supermarket in Japan is like. You always hear about and see videos of C-stores (convenience stores) in Japan, but rarely do you ever see videos about actual supermarkets. Which is understandable though, because from what I've read, they can be very strict about there "no filming" policy, so it probably is a lot more trouble than it's worth. But I've always been super interested in them, because I've heard so many good things about them! Especially about how they usually have a wide selection of very affordable but still very tasty sometimes restaurant quality prepared food and snacks. Supposedly the Bento's are a great deal and good way to fill up on the cheap, especially if you're lucky enough to be there at the right time, because of how they usually get a pretty hefty discount right (especially good since they usually don't cost much in the first place) before they are replaced with fresher ones. Kinda like how day old bread is sold over here in the states, were it's 90% just as good as the fresher version but for WAY less. Keep up the great work, Eric and Mega! Oh and I think a great idea for one of these Epic Meal Time videos, would be the best food you can get for under a certain amount of money (maybe you can make it contest between you and Mega to see who can get the best meal), and you could fill it in with some tricks and advice about saving money on eating in Japan. ( A lot of people usually think Japan is prohibitively super-expensive, and while that can certainly be true in some cases, they really don't know that there are a ton of more affordable options out there, that won't cost an arm and a leg and just as good, sometimes even better than eating out)

$8 for a small container of maple syrup sounds pretty reasonable/average to me and I live in an area where it’s produced. A lot of time goes into reducing the tree sap down to make the syrup so it tends to be expensive. That’s why most people just use imitation “pancake” syrup - but nothing beats the real thing.
