Now this is how you do an AMV. You pick a mapping of characters in the series to characters in the song, and stick with it, and from that point you pretty much can't fail to produce something better than 90% of what's out there. This here was pretty darn good.

Eridan wants to be the Dr. Horrible-type guy so bad, but the truth is he's just a murderous fuck, and always has been. Bec Noir's rampage and the wand just gave him an excuse and the means to carry out his genocidal designs, respectively. He does have moments that, when taken out of context of the fact that it's, well, Eridan, make him look sympathetic, but to me, he will always be a Complete Monster, as TvTropes puts it.
