@@TheLobocantaore canelo should not be mentioned, he's damn good but he isn't built like these savages , the 2 times he had his time to shine when all was going wrong , he failed, Mayweather, bivol, if any of these guys were in those type of fights , win or lose they would do something to try and turn the trajectory, canelo just stops throwing or starts to load up to try and land a home run

Probably no one else would have thought of it this way or agree, but I kind of view this as MAB’s skill vs EM’s stamina. Barrera has the best balance I’ve ever seen, throws a punch and always in perfect position to throw the next punch. And Morales’ work rate was incredible. I say this in the context that both their hearts and will to win were obviously equal. Those guys fought like the loser would be taken out back and shot

It's hard to like one of these guys more than the other. Both top tier legends. And in all fairness to Morales he was on the decline as Pacquiao was on the rise. Morales had already been in many battles prior to Pacquiao. May have turned out different with Morales in his prime.

This is one of those fights that really proved smaller guys can be profitable. I understand that there were already stars in the lower weight classes and plenty of Latino champions. But at this time, smaller guys were not really given that much PPV attention compared to those who are in the Higher weight categories. Just look at this. Who would not want to buy and action-packed match like this. Cherry on top this is Mexican brand of boxing.

@@joeboyd4064 Not to dismiss other styles of fighting, but the Mexicans have their own brand of boxing. Its part skill, pure machismo, a lot of Cojones, and just no-backing down. You will really get your money's worth. Julio Cesar Chavez popularized this style of fighting, and its the Barrera Morales fights that really made more mexican fighters be PPV attraction.

I come back to watch Morales' and Barrera's fights all of the time, still visiting in 2023. Morales and Barrera are two of my all-time favorites for very, very obvious reasons. Looking back at this objectively for the first time, it’s apparent the commentators are focused on Barrera. Morales as thrown great hooks and jabs, great combos, but they never mention it. Edit: I’m glad he won. I truly felt he was winning and was in awe of the commentators.

I don't see how Morales won this fight, he showed great heart and had some good flurries but he had more damage on him and was being bullied the whole fight. I like Morales more but gotta give it to Barrera for this one.
