Same here! I have been following Coach Donny's vlog since 2018 and I have been watching Erik's game with Team USA a couple of years already, since 2015 I guess if I'm not mistaken and I love how he plays exceptionally in his libero position.

I remember one year Eric and his brother Kawika were in the local news paper here in Hawaii when they were in High school. Because Eric went to Punahou and Kawika went to Rival high school Iolani, it was big news to see how the “sons of Dave Shoji” would lead their teams in the volleyball high school state tournament that year.

I'm a huge haikyuu fan (I've seen the anime 3 times and read the manga twice) but it still bothers me. like let pros be their own person, not a knockoff of an anime character

@@A--lex primary is the key word he used. Erik is in the middle of a fucking season. Just the fact that he is able to make time to create videos regularly is insane work and dedication. If they both want to, I would cream my pants. But they live in separate time zones, have different routines and totally their own lives. So its unreasonable imo to ask for such things. Just my take, I am not restricting anybody from asking anything.

I find it surprising that many pro volleyball players have actually attended/completed a college/university degree before they became a pro. Probably because my primary sport is soccer. I get a strong feeling that volleyball is something you can go pretty far with even at a late age.

Coach Donny, I've recently started playing volleyball and I really like spiking a lot, but I'm getting really good at receiving and passing than spiking even tho I practice equally for both, my seniors tell me that I should play as the libero on the team, what do you think I should do ??

@Caiman Araújo I've tried blocking too, but that's the skil I'm lacking the most, the other team always scores by hitting the ball on my fingers since I can barely manage to get my wrist above the net, but there was one time when I blocked a 6'2 middle blocker, he didn't had much power in his spike so ball fell on their court
