🔥🔥🔥 Yessir! Big E was HIM. But for that car accident, he was building a resume that would've had him in Canton, along with Larry Allen. Even after he came back, he was still top 5 in the league at RT for a couple of years, just wasn't as consistently dominant as before.

@@mannyr8795 Barry had a very good OL, it's a misnomer to think they were garbage. The thing is, Emmitt at his best, 92-93, was before Larry Allen was even on the team. The rest of the OL was a league joke before Emmitt got there. Kevin Gogan was a fight/penalty machine, Nate Newton was known for his weight, and Tuinei was a converted DT. Emmitt shows up and they're all probowlers? Barry was the most spectacular back I've seen, but Emmitt was the best at moving the chains. The team fell apart after Jimmy left. Aikman wasn't able to hold it all together after '95. No discipline.

Reggie White had multiple seasons with over 100 combined tackles which is remarkable for the type of DE he was, he was more of a DE-DT, not a DE-OLB. What impressed me in this cutup is that he understood the importance of not emptying the gas tank too early in the game. I could tell he was getting closer and closer to getting home, and sure enough, he did.

You can really see how much football changed in just 15 years. Ten to fifteen years before this game the most dominant tackle-guard pair in the game was the left side of the Redskins' famous "Hogs", Joe Jacoby and Russ Grimm. Now I'm a Redskins fan and hate the Cowboys, but if you compare Jacoby and Grimm vs. Williams and Allen for athleticism, there's no contest. Williams was a tremendous tackle and Larry Allen was just a physical freak of a man in terms of strength and speed. Jacoby was considered a monster at 6'6" and 305 pounds and Grimm was 6'3" and 273. Compare that to both Williams and Allen being about 315 each. Unreal.

Was you watching the same game I just watched? Reggie White was dominating them 2 players as he always did. Any time you have to put a 2nd player on your offensive line to block one player that is not doing better than Reggie White in any shape of the form. Then the multiple holds as always the cowboys were never called for many of those back then when they were America's favorite team as they called it. It's the main reason I absolutely hated the cowboys back then and still do. Reggie White at times blew through both of them to get the sack in this game. At least be honest with Whites performance. He was not having problems with them he never did. Look at it like this, that high powered offense the cowboys had back then were held to only field goals all game the reason they won is because the offense wasn't doing their part to help the defense. If the defense is always on the field they get tired and this defensive didn't tire out. Yeah Reggie White slipped a few times but how many times did that turf tackle emmitt smith without any player touching him lol. Also Williams was cutting low to take white out at the legs which was illegal then and it's illegal now called a chop block. So I would say White was absolutely dominating as was Santana Dotson. Both them and Gilbert Brown were unstoppable!

@@spitshinetommy3721 not really. He got around him once. Bjornson is who white got through in one as he cut thru, Smith did similar. White almost got around him maybe 2 other times, but Williams, especially after car wreck, wasn't fast anyway, and really, "almost getting around the end" happens several times a game for even subpar defensive ends. White had no effect in the game, and that's what a great tackle does.

White was past his prime here and not only that, he was in the backfield most of the plays. The reason Williams looked so good is because Aikman would get rid of the ball very quickly, there were times Reggie was held and wasn’t called for it, and Reggie was doubled teamed a lot. I would not say Williams dominated all game. White won most of the battles.

It was called sportsmanship and due to the respect for the game and your opponent things like this were not done. But it’s the argument that they are professionals and it’s there job to stop this vs sportsmanship. I think it’s obvious that the break the record side is the way it is now. No respect for the game or your opponents anymore. Running 20 yds and dancing when you make a sack, which is what you are paid for. Not to mention they got that sack likely due to defensive backfield doing an outstanding job. It’s all about me me me nowadays.

All i see is 79 getting blown off the line and holding all game!🤣 Don't get me wrong, he's a Philly-Dawg regardless of where he played but dallas fans/players would make you think that 92 was terrified of him. 2 brothers waging war on the grid-iron!❤️‍🔥

Reggie White had one sack and 2 tackles that game Williams dominated him for 85% of the gams received a foul blue team on White 2 times the whole game are u kidding

@@ericgway2254 His stats were low because they kept the plays in the air or away from his side but never actually 'dominated' him. The rest of the defense was more or less subpar but y'all triple value everything a cowboys player does like if smith rushed for 20yrds up the left off a screen pass, that means Reggie got drive block out of the stadium, up the turnpike and into outer orbit as far as y'all are concerned. That cowboys hype-machine is incredible!

@100016 actually Williams did dominate him, it's common for teams to slightly run to opposite side a good de, but he got plenty of plays on his side. He ran outside of Williams 1 time, the other 2 times he got through were because he went through bjornson and Smith. Watch 92 playoffs or 95 playoffs. This isn't even Williams at 85% by the end of 96. White wasn't a factor at the end of the day.

@@nocategories3398 I've seen that 92 playoffs game and it was the same story. A ton of chip blocking, off left tackle runs, fast slot routes and chop blocks. They just schemed their play calling to exploit Jerome Brown's absence and keep Reggie on the outer edge of the plays. Detroit did the same thing with Barry Sanders "don't run at Reggie's side". But 2 say he got destroyed is reaching. Williams was getting driven off the line regularly. The only difference between him and other tackles is that he was able to maintain his balance and keep his mass infront off Reggie, but not actually physically nuetralize him

@@100016yeah there's not too many coaches that will plan the entire offensive scheme to the strongest side of the defense.

I wish Reggie was around today. He would have been the ambassador Jim Brown was for the next era. The LeBrons , DWades, Kaps and other woke athletes regardless of sport he would hold accountable.

Cowboys fans always love to glaze this man. Reggie White handled him and Larry Allen. Had both of them on skates. You will never be able to beat a man that has God on his side. 😂😂😂

Sheagles fans are beyond delusional, the proof is right in front of you and you still refuse to see total physical dominance by a superiror Eric Williams and an upandcomimg Allen Too funny😂😂😂

He had no effect on the game. Dallas didn't even need to double him. Watch Erik pre car wreck in the 9596 nfc championship. Or 92 playoffs.
