In this week's art video, I'm sharing my process for these three watercolor whale illustrations. 🐋
I've broken down my painting process into three simple steps and we get to practice basic techniques (wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry), as well as developing a wide range of values and translucencies to create a sense of dimension.
I also bring in splattering, first using water and then using white gouache, for some visual texture.
