This is a POV (Point of View) video from USA Men's National Team practice. Kyle Dagostino (libero) wore the GoPro for the day and captured part of our practice as we prepare for the FIVB World Championships coming up later this month. I hope you enjoy and don't forget to like, comment, and ask questions if you have them! Yay volleyball
ps some of the angles in this video aren't the best. It can be difficult to know where to angle to GoPro! :)

“Missing piece on that conference?” What does that even mean. Aaron Russell was the missing piece. The team showed they could win without Matt. Their team chemistry was great throughout the VNL run (unlike the Olympics where, with Matt, they didn’t play well) and they need to maintain & sustain that to have a chance at winning Worlds.

Nice video Erik! I think it would be cool if you did a little intro telling us in whose head the GoPro is, I know you said it in the description but it'd be better if you say it in the video, which tournament are you guys training for and talk more to your teammates.

Soo soo happy to see another vid from you Erik! We (meaning, just me) really missed them. Congratulations for finiahing 2nd in the recent VNL and for winning the Plusliga and Champion's League. It feels so weird seeing the long beach boys on the national team, I watched them throughout their entire college careers and I loved it but now I get to watch them on an even bigger stage :D

Hey Erik question, when I’m receiving serves I tend to back up a little bit and hop with my platform. It makes an accurate pass but I’m just wondering if I should fix it and drill the idea I should stay grounded.

Hi Erik, I’m going into sophomore year of highschool and am a pretty experienced player I’ve found that the thing that holds me back the most in my playing is my mindset/attitude I frequently find myself feeling like I need to prove myself to everyone regardless of who they are, Have you ever felt like this and or do you have any advice to get out of this mindset and stay in a good headspace you always seem so confident on the court.

I think confidence on the court comes from confidence in your own skills. Instead of trying to prove yourself to others you should prove to YOURSELF that you are a good player. It doesn't matter what people think of you as long as YOU know and understand your worth. I'm not exactly qualified to give you advice though so ignore this if you want but I definitely think this is the correct way. Good luck in your matches!

At 3:17 after Smith got the block why did he turn his back and run? I assume he's getting out of the way of Anderson but it looked unusual to turn completely 180 and go the other way.
