All of you idiots and casuals complaining about Lara "running" need to really ask yourself this: what type of fight do you really expect the less powerful puncher to fight? Should the less powerful puncher just stand there and trade with the more powerful puncher? Or should he stick and move, forcing the more powerful puncher to cut off the ring in order to effectively use his power? The name of the game is to hit and not get hit. Lara landed more punches than Canelo, so how do you land more punches than Canelo if you're "running" the entire time?

Truth is, Lara won the fight. Taking into consideration punches landed, he easily won the fight. On the other hand because he was retreating through most of the fight, canelo was the obvious aggressor even though he wasn't necessarily effective with his aggression. Most casual fans like aggression and judges also tend to favour the fighter who brings the fight to the opponent. Lara's style is quite annoying but that doesn't mean he should have lost the fight. Plain simple fact is, he won the fight. We know Golden boy wasn't going to allow Canelo to lose. Like Teddy Atlas said, If they hadn't influenced the split decision, they'd now be known as Bronzeboy. Canelo is their Cash cow. They weren't going to lose his money making star appeal to a lesser known running Cuban. No way. Just like Lara's corner man said, They know they lost the fight. The real boxing fans know that. It's a shame that boxing is now controlled by these promoters with deep pockets.

I watched the fight,i didnt think it was a robbery.I gave Lara rounds1,3,7 and maybe another two rounds but ultimately Canelo won more rounds and landed alot of painful bodyshots.Lara done well in some rounds but only a few seconds at a time,it wasnt sustained.
