Good piece and one, of many, piano concertos that do not get played much these days. Fine performance!

The absence of this concerto from the standard international repertoire, and its infrequent public performance, demonstrate that neither the critics nor academia are suitable standard-bearers or judges of what merits performance, or frequent inclusion in the repertoire. There are COUNTLESS numbers of other examples, but this is a good one. Thank you for posting this.

Excellent! I wonder if John Williams was familiar with this when he wrote parts of Raiders of the Lost Arc (the desert chase scene in the trucks); or Poledouris when he wrote Conan the Barbarian - sounds like it. Great piece, very Hollywood Golden Age-ish, as mentioned.

It sounds like it would be used in a cutscene in Cleopatra or some sort of Golden Hollywood MGA historical drama epic
